utkaṇṭhaḥ[the verse's word] utkaṇṭha'उत्कण्ठ' (शब्द का अर्थ यह है) —
uccīkṛta-kaṇṭhaḥmeans: one whose throat is stretched upward [as he calls out]जिसका गला ऊपर की ओर उठा हुआ है
sphūrti-prāptaṁ harim — Hari, flashed into view; atidūre dṛṣṭvā — on seeing [him] very far off; utkaṇṭhaḥ — utkaṇṭha [= ] uccīkṛta-kaṇṭhaḥ — one whose throat is stretched upward.
sphūrti-prāptaṁ harim — स्फूर्ति में प्रकट हुए हरि को; atidūre — बहुत दूर; dṛṣṭvā — देखकर; utkaṇṭhaḥ — 'उत्कण्ठ' का अर्थ; uccīkṛta-kaṇṭhaḥ — जिसका गला ऊपर उठा हुआ है।
Seeing Hari — who had suddenly flashed into view — far away, he becomes utkaṇṭha. Viśvanātha takes the word literally: his throat is stretched upward, craning as he cries out.
स्फूर्ति में प्रकट हुए हरि को बहुत दूर देखकर वह 'उत्कण्ठ' हो उठता है — अर्थात् उसका गला ऊपर की ओर उठ जाता है।
utkaṇṭha ordinarily means 'longing, eager', but literally it is 'up-throat' (ud + kaṇṭha). Viśvanātha foregrounds the literal sense — the throat physically craned upward — so the word carries both the longing and the bodily posture of it.

tadaiva sphūrti-bhaṅge sati — at that very moment, once the vision breaks off; tad-viraha-kheda-ādhikyena — through the surge of grief at separation; tad-bhāvanā-atiśaya-yuktaḥ — filled with intense meditation on him; unmāda-sañcāri-prābalyena — by the force of the transient mood of madness; 'aham eva hariḥ' iti tan-mayaḥ san — thinking 'I myself am Hari', become one with him; tal-līlāṁ rāma-kṛṣṇa-ādy-avatāra-gatām api — his play, even that of the avatāras like Rāma and Kṛṣṇa; anucakāra [=] anukṛtavān — he imitated, acted it out.
At that very moment the vision breaks off. Now the grief of separation surges up, meditation on him grows overwhelming, and the sañcāri of madness (unmāda) takes hold in full strength. Thinking 'I myself am Hari,' he becomes one with him and acts out his līlā — even the pastimes of the avatāras like Rāma and Kṛṣṇa. Viśvanātha glosses anucakāra as anukṛtavān: he mimicked them.
