An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of autsukya — eager, restless longing — a vyabhicāri-bhāva colouring dāsya-rasa, quoted from Śrī-Kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛta 41.

na vidyate nātho nāthāntaraṁ yasya, tasya bandho pratipālaka ||
na vidyate nātho nāthāntaraṁ yasyahe for whom there is no master, and no other master anywhere — this unpacks anātha bahuvrīhi analysis of a-nātha; two items denied: nāthaḥ and nātha-antaramजिसका न कोई नाथ है और न कोई दूसरा नाथ है
tasya bandho pratipālakafor such a one, the bandhu [Kṛṣṇa] is the pratipālaka — the maintainer, the one who keeps and protects himउसका बन्धु अर्थात् पालक (रक्षक)
yasya — for whom; nātho nāthāntaraṁ na vidyate — there is neither a master nor any second master; tasya — for him; bandho [i.e.] pratipālaka — the 'friend' means the protector who maintains him.
Jīva breaks open the word anātha-bandhu. The 'masterless one' (anātha) is someone who has no master at all — not even a second, backup master anywhere. For a person that helpless, the bandhu, the 'friend', means the pratipālaka: the one who takes him up, keeps him, and protects him. So Kṛṣṇa is the standing protector of those who have no one.
