L1definition
sāndraś citta-dravaṁ kurvan premā sneha itīryate |
sāndraḥwhen it has grown thick and intense nominative qualifying premā — the state prema reaches, not a separate thingजब वह (प्रेम) अत्यन्त गाढ़ा हो जाता है — यह विशेषण प्रेम की उसी दशा को कहता है, कोई अलग वस्तु नहीं
citta-dravaṁ kurvanand, doing so, makes the heart melt present participle: the ongoing effect that defines the stageचित्त को द्रवित करता हुआ, अर्थात् हृदय को पिघलाता हुआ (यही चलती हुई क्रिया इस दशा को पहचानती है)
sāndraḥ premā — the prema that has grown thick and intense; citta-dravaṁ kurvan — [and] makes the heart melt; sneha iti īryate — is called sneha.
Here is the definition of sneha. When prema thickens and intensifies until it melts the heart, that stage of prema is named sneha. So sneha is simply prema grown dense enough to liquefy the heart.
sneha is one of the ascending grades in which rati/prema intensifies; the section (prīti-bhakti-rasa, the rasa of servitude, dāsya) is here treating these grades of love.

na iha syātthere could not, in this stage, beयहाँ (इस स्नेह की दशा में) नहीं रहती
sahiṣṇutāany bearing or enduringसहनशीलता
iha — here, in sneha; kṣaṇikasya api viśleṣasya — of a separation, even a momentary one; sahiṣṇutā na syāt — there could be no enduring.
This is its telltale mark. Once sneha is present, one cannot bear separation at all — not even for a single moment. Even an instant apart becomes unendurable.

Viśvanātha unpacks the second half. Once sneha has genuinely arisen, one simply cannot endure separation — not even a momentary one. He reads the verse's viśleṣa as plain viyoga, ordinary separation.

Viśvanātha walks through the whole conceit. On seeing Keśava, under the pretext of a stream of tears — he explains: a flood of eye-water — your melted heart flowed clean out. And because the heart flowed out completely, wholly, that is why it happened to such a high degree. So you now carry vicittatā, which he glosses as citta-śūnyatā, sheer heart-emptiness. Therefore, O Dāruka, your turning wood-like is no wonder: for someone with no consciousness left, being like a log is exactly what fits.
Viśvanātha supplies three plain glosses for the poetic words: bāṣpāmbu-jhara = netra-jala-pravāha (a flood of eye-water); dambha = miṣa (a pretext); vicittatā = citta-śūnyatā (heart-emptiness). The name-pun stands: acetana ('without consciousness / heart') is fittingly dāru-sadṛśa ('wood-like') — so Dāruka becomes dāru.

Viśvanātha names the ornament. Dāruka's stambha — the frozen, stunned state that really came from seeing Kṛṣṇa — is here declared to come from a different cause instead: his heart having melted away. Attributing an effect to a fancifully-supposed other cause is the figure utprekṣā (poetic conjecture). That, he says, is the point.
stambha — being stunned motionless — is one of the eight sāttvika-bhāvas, the involuntary bodily signs of intense emotion. utprekṣā (alaṅkāra) — the figure in which the poet fancifully imagines one thing as caused by, or as being, another; here the stambha is playfully credited not to Kṛṣṇa's sight but to the heart's draining away.
