The forms of these gods are already famous to everyone. Just because their forms are so well-known, their devotion to Kṛṣṇa can be described here as an example.

The verse is a rapid game of question and answer. 'Who is that circling Hari?' — 'This is Ambikā.' 'And who is this, trembling as he stares at Hari, his head shaking?' The riddle keeps posing them one by one.
An udāharaṇa (illustration) of the adhikṛta servants — the empowered gods (Brahmā, Ambikā, Indra, Yama and the like) caught in devotional postures before Kṛṣṇa. The frame: Kālindī, watching through a lattice-window, names each god for Jāmbavatī (see L7).

'And who is this one, stiff and frozen, whom Kṛṣṇa's younger brothers are openly laughing at?' — 'This is my own elder brother.' In just this manner she goes on.
Viśvanātha identifies the frozen one as Yama and the speaker's 'my' as Kālindī — Kālindī being Yamunā, Yama's sister (see c3-visvanatha s5).

In this way Kālindī, peering out through the lattice-window, laid before Jāmbavatī a whole acquaintance with the gods — naming each one as he worshipped Kṛṣṇa. That is the setting of the whole verse.

Jīva pins down 'adhikṛta': it means those whom Śrī Kṛṣṇa himself has appointed to office and set in place. So the 'empowered' are empowered by Kṛṣṇa — placed in charge of the cosmos by him.

'stabdha' does not mean 'arrogant' here. It means he is seized by the sāttvika-bhāva called stambha — struck motionless, frozen stiff out of intense feeling for Kṛṣṇa.
stambha ('paralysis') is one of the eight sāttvika-bhāvas, the involuntary bodily signs of ecstatic emotion.

pūrvajaḥ iti — tadānīṁ manvantara-sthāyi-mānuṣya-śarīra-praviṣṭasya vyomnaḥ api tad-rūpatvena eva vyavahārāt.
Why call him 'elder brother'? Jīva explains: at that time this celestial had entered a human body — one set to last a full manvantara — yet he is still referred to by his divine, heavenly form. So even in the human body the divine epithet holds good.
Jīva keeps it general (a 'sky-dweller' in a human body); he does not name the being or the story. Contrast Viśvanātha, who names Yama and the Vidura incarnation — the two decodes are not to be merged.

One might object: at that time Yama, cursed by Māṇḍavya, had entered the body of Vidura — so how can he stand here as Yama? Viśvanātha replies: even so, since it is by the noble Kālindī herself that he is named by his Yama-form, there is no contradiction.
The word printed 'aryayeva' is best read āryayā eva, 'by the noble lady (Kālindī) herself'; the force of the reply — that he is validly named by his Yama-identity — is unaffected.
