L1definition
sañcārino’tra nirvedo dhṛtir harṣo matiḥ smṛtiḥ |
sañcāriṇaḥthe sañcāri-bhāvas — the passing moods that come and go inside the main mood — are these nominative plural, the subject of prakīrtitāḥ in the next line; sandhi sañcāriṇaḥ + atra → sañcāriṇo 'traसंचारी भाव — आते-जाते रहने वाले भाव; ये ही आगे 'प्रकीर्तित' कहे जाएँगे
atrahere, that is, in this śānta-bhakti-rasaयहाँ, अर्थात् इस शान्त-रस में
nirvedaḥnirveda — being fed up, self-disgust at one's own wasted lifeनिर्वेद — अपने बीते हुए मार्ग से उपजी ग्लानि
dhṛtiḥdhṛti — being steady and content, not agitatedधृति — मन का थमना, सन्तोष
harṣaḥharṣa — gladness at getting what one longed forहर्ष — उमंग
matiḥmati — settled understanding reached by thinking the śāstra throughमति — निश्चयात्मक बुद्धि
smṛtiḥsmṛti — remembering, calling the Lord back to mindस्मृति — पहले अनुभव किए हुए का स्मरण
atra — here, in śānta-bhakti-rasa; sañcāriṇaḥ — the passing moods are; nirvedaḥ — being fed up; dhṛtiḥ — steadiness; harṣaḥ — gladness; matiḥ — settled understanding; smṛtiḥ — remembering
Now the passing moods (sañcāri-bhāvas) of śānta-bhakti-rasa. "Here" means in this rasa, not in general. The list starts: nirveda, being fed up with oneself; dhṛti, steady contentment; harṣa, gladness; mati, settled understanding; smṛti, remembering.
sañcāri-bhāva (also called vyabhicāri-bhāva) is a standard term of Sanskrit dramaturgy: the transient feelings that rise, feed the dominant mood, and subside. Rūpa Gosvāmī keeps the term and applies it to bhakti — here to the śānta devotee.

viṣādotsukatāvega-vitarkādyāḥ prakīrtitāḥ ||
viṣāda-utsukatā-āvega-vitarka-ādyāḥand viṣāda, feeling low; utsukatā, restless eagerness; āvega, a sudden rush of feeling; vitarka, weighing and doubting — and others of that kind a dvandva compound closed by -ādyāḥ, "beginning with", which keeps the list open rather than completeविषाद (खिन्नता), उत्सुकता (उतावली), आवेग (सहसा उठने वाला वेग), वितर्क (ऊहापोह) — और इसी प्रकार के और भी; 'आदि' कहने से सूची खुली रहती है
prakīrtitāḥare the ones declared, named by the authorities on rasa past participle used as the finite verb, agreeing with sañcāriṇaḥ of the previous lineभली-भाँति कहे गए हैं — यही वाक्य की क्रिया है, और यह 'संचारिणः' के साथ जुड़ती है
viṣāda-utsukatā-āvega-vitarka-ādyāḥ — feeling low, restless eagerness, a rush of feeling, weighing and doubting, and so on; prakīrtitāḥ — these are the ones declared
The list continues: viṣāda, feeling low; utsukatā, restless eagerness; āvega, a sudden surge; vitarka, turning a thing over in doubt. "And so on" — the list is deliberately left open. These are the ones declared for śānta.
-ādi, "beginning with", is a technical signal: the enumeration is representative, not exhaustive. Other sañcāris may occur in śānta; only these are named as typical.

asmin sukha-ghana-mūrtau
asminwhile this very one — right here, in plain sight locative, agreeing with paramātmani and sphurati in the next line: the opening of a locative absolute, "while he was shining…"
sukha-ghana-mūrtauwhose form is joy packed solid — joy itself thickened into a bodyजिनका विग्रह घनीभूत सुख ही है — और 'घन' का दूसरा अर्थ मेघ भी है, अतः 'सुख बरसाने वाला श्याम मेघ-रूप'
asmin — while this very one; sukha-ghana-mūrtau — whose form is solid, condensed joy
The example verse for nirveda begins. The speaker points at the Lord standing before him: "this one, whose very body is joy made solid." Not a form that has joy — a form that is joy.
An udāharaṇa of nirveda, the first sañcāri named in 3.1.33 — the source lead-in reads tatra nirvedo, yathā, "there, nirveda, as in…". Hear the śleṣa in ghana: it means "dense, packed solid", and it also means "raincloud" — the standard image for Kṛṣṇa's dark form. So sukha-ghana-mūrti is both "a body of concentrated joy" and "the joy-cloud", the dark form that rains happiness. The verse's speaker is not named in the text, so we leave him as the śānta devotee who is speaking.

paramātmani vṛṣṇi-pattane sphurati |
paramātmanithe Paramātmā, the very Self that a śānta devotee meditates onपरमात्मा के — ध्यान में जिनका चिन्तन होता है, उन्हीं के
vṛṣṇi-pattanein the city of the Vṛṣṇis — Dvārakā, a place one could walk toवृष्णियों के नगर में — अर्थात् द्वारका में, ठीक-ठीक पते के साथ
sphuratiwas shining out, present and visible to anyone present participle in the locative, completing the locative absolute begun with asmin: "while he was shining there…"
asmin paramātmani — while this Paramātmā; sukha-ghana-mūrtau — whose form is solid joy; vṛṣṇi-pattane — in the Vṛṣṇis' city; sphurati — was shining there in plain view
The whole clause is "while he was shining". The Paramātmā the meditator hunts for inside himself was standing in Dvārakā, in the open, among the Vṛṣṇis. He could have been seen and served. That is the setup for the regret.
The force of the line is the contrast between paramātmani, the abstract Self of meditation, and vṛṣṇi-pattane, a street address. The same one, in two registers.

ātmārāmatayā me
ātmārāmatayābecause I stayed self-satisfied, taking my pleasure in the self alone instrumental of cause: this is the reason the time was wasted, not merely how it was spentक्योंकि मैं आत्मा में ही रमने वाला बना रहा — यही समय बीत जाने का कारण है, केवल बिताने का ढंग नहीं
memy — the time that was mine to use genitive with gataḥ kālaḥ, "my time has gone"मेरा — 'गतः कालः' के साथ, अर्थात् 'मेरा समय बीत गया'
me — my; ātmārāmatayā — because I remained content in the self alone
Now the confession, and the cause is named plainly: ātmārāmatā, being one who takes his delight in the self. That very state, prized elsewhere, is here the reason for the loss.
ātmārāma is the standard word for the sage satisfied in the self, needing nothing outside. The speaker does not deny that he was one; he says that being one cost him.

vṛthā gato bata ciraṁ kālaḥ ||
vṛthāfor nothing, with nothing to show for itव्यर्थ, बिना किसी फल के
gataḥhas gone, slipped past and cannot be called backबीत गया, हाथ से निकल गया
bataalas — the cry of regret, the sound nirveda makes an exclamatory particle; it carries the whole emotional weight of the verseहाय!
ciramfor a long stretch — and so the loss is largeबहुत लम्बे काल तक
kālaḥtime itself, the one thing that was his to spendसमय
bata — alas; me kālaḥ — my time; ciram — for so long; vṛthā — for nothing; gataḥ — has gone
"Alas — all that long time of mine went for nothing." Read the verse as one sentence: while he was shining right there in Dvārakā, joy in bodily form, I sat content in myself, and my years went to waste. That self-reproach is nirveda.
This is the shape of nirveda as a sañcāri: not despair over the world's pain, but disgust at one's own past course once the Lord's sweetness has been glimpsed. Note that it is a passing mood feeding the mood of śānta, not the rasa itself.
