This verse assigns the twelve presiding deities (adhiṣṭhātṛ-devatā) of the twelve rasas — the five primary and seven secondary — naming one avatāra of Bhagavān for each, to be matched 'in order' (kramāt, L3) to the rasas listed just before.

Jīva sets up the verse. The deities of these rasas — Candra and the others, all connected to Bhagavān — are to be understood as nothing other than avatāras of Bhagavān himself. His ground: Bhagavān is the inner controller of Aniruddha and the rest of the expansions. With that in view Rūpa speaks, beginning 'kapilo mādhavopendrau.'
The source Sanskrit here is corrupt ('aniruddhya darad-antaryāmitvena'); read as aniruddhādy-antaryāmitvena. Note that Jīva's ground is antaryāmitva (Bhagavān as inner controller), whereas Viśvanātha's parallel (c3.s1) uses a simple comparison, aniruddhādivat ('like Aniruddha and the rest') — the two are not harmonized here.

kiriḥ — 'kiri'; varāhaḥ — means Varāha.
kiriḥ — किरि; varāhaḥ — वराह।
Jīva glosses the rare word: 'kiri' means Varāha, the boar.

buddho vā paṭhanīyaḥor one may read 'Buddha' vā — a suspended variant reading, left standingअथवा 'बुद्ध' पढ़ना चाहिए
tac-ceṣṭāyā arocakatvātbecause that one's activity is distasteful ablative of reason; 'tat' left ambiguous — whose activity is not spelled outक्योंकि उसकी (बुद्ध की) चेष्टा अरुचिकर है
mīnasya sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahatvātbecause Mīna is a form of being-consciousness-bliss (sac-cid-ānanda)क्योंकि मीन सच्चिदानन्द-विग्रह है
mīna-sthāne — in place of Mīna; buddho vā paṭhanīyaḥ — or 'Buddha' may be read; tac-ceṣṭāyā arocakatvāt — because that one's activity is distasteful; mīnasya sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahatvāt — because Mīna is a sac-cid-ānanda form.
Jīva flags a variant: in Mīna's slot one may instead read 'Buddha.' He gives two reasons — that the activity in question is distasteful, and that Mīna is a form of pure being-consciousness-bliss. The choice is left open (vā); we do not resolve which reading he finally prefers, nor pin down whose 'activity' the first reason means.
A suspended vā, left unresolved per the decode's discipline. The two grounds pull toward keeping Mīna (a sac-cid-ānanda form; the other's conduct being distasteful), even as the sentence formally offers Buddha as the alternative reading — the tension is Jīva's, not smoothed over here.

Viśvanātha sets up the verse the same way. The deities here — Candra and the others, all tied to Bhagavān — should be known as avatāras of Bhagavān alone, exactly as Aniruddha and the other expansions are. With that, Rūpa speaks.
Viśvanātha grounds the point by comparison — aniruddhādivat, 'like Aniruddha and the rest' — where Jīva's parallel (c1.s1) grounds it by antaryāmitva (Bhagavān as inner controller). The two commentators are left as they stand, not merged.
