The verse simply lists colors. White, variegated, ruddy, crimson, dark, then pale-white and tawny. Each color belongs to one rasa, taken in order. Per Viśvanātha these are the colors of the twelve rasas beginning with śānta.
This is the lakṣaṇa-verse assigning a color to each of the twelve rasas (śānta and the rest); Viśvanātha (2.5.118) makes the correspondence explicit. The one-to-one color-to-rasa mapping is not spelled out in the mūla itself — only the ordered list of colors.

yaśasaḥ śuklatvavatjust as fame is [conventionally called] white -vat = 'like'; the whiteness of fame is a stock poetic convention, given as the modelजैसे यश की श्वेतता — यश को श्वेत कहना कवियों की प्रसिद्ध रूढ़ि है, वही यहाँ आदर्श रूप में दिया गया
kavi-samaya-anurūpyeṇain keeping with poetic convention instrumental of manner: this is the first ground for giving the rasas colorsकवि-समय (काव्य-रूढ़ि) के अनुसार — रसों को रंग देने का यह पहला आधार है
mana-ādīnāmof the mind and the restमन आदि का
candra-ādi-vatpictured like the moon and so on -vat: the mind is conventionally moon-colored — a second instance of the same poetic conventionचन्द्र आदि के समान — मन को चन्द्रवर्ण मानना उसी काव्य-रूढ़ि का दूसरा उदाहरण है
tat-tad-adhiṣṭhātṛ-mūrti-bhedena vāor else through the different presiding deity-forms of each vā opens a second, alternative ground — left standing, not chosen betweenअथवा उन-उन रसों के अधिष्ठातृ-देवता की मूर्ति के भेद से — 'वा' से दूसरा आधार खुलता है, जिसे छोड़ नहीं दिया जाता
teṣāmof them, the rasasउन (रसों) की

āhahe states(रूप गोस्वामी) कहते हैं
śveta ity-ādiin the words 'śveta...' and so on — the verse now beginning'श्वेत' इत्यादि (श्लोक से)
yaśasaḥ śuklatvavat — as fame is white; kavi-samaya-anurūpyeṇa — by poetic convention; mana-ādīnām candra-ādi-vat — the mind and the rest [colored] like the moon and so on; tat-tad-adhiṣṭhātṛ-mūrti-bhedena vā — or through each rasa's presiding deity-form; teṣām rūpa-kalpanām āha — he states the assigning of their colors; śveta ity-ādi — with 'śveta...'.
Jīva introduces the verse by asking on what basis the rasas are given colors. He offers two grounds and leaves both standing. First, poetic convention: just as poets call fame white and picture the mind moon-colored, so the rasas are conventionally colored. Or else — the suspended alternative — each rasa has the color of the deity-form that presides over it. On one of these grounds, Rūpa now assigns the colors, beginning with 'śveta'.
The 'vā' keeps two grounds open — poetic convention (kavi-samaya) or the presiding deity-forms — and Jīva does not decide between them; both are left as live options.

Viśvanātha spells out what "amī," "these," refers to. They are the twelve rasas, starting from śānta. Each carries a color, starting from white. Read them in order — the first rasa gets the first color, and so on down the list.

hlādinī-śakteḥ sāra-bhūtānām eteṣām — of these rasas, which are the essence of the bliss-potency; lakṣmī-ādivat mūrti-dharāṇām — and which, like Lakṣmī and others, take on forms; rūpavattvam na asaṅgatam — their having color is not incongruous; iti jñeyam — so it should be understood.
Viśvanātha heads off a doubt: how can rasas, which sound abstract, have colors? His reply: the rasas are the very essence of the hlādinī, Kṛṣṇa's bliss-potency, and like Lakṣmī and other śaktis they take on personal forms. Once you grant that they are formed beings, giving them colors is not out of place at all.
The reasoning turns on the rasas being personified potencies, not mere feelings: as embodiments of the hlādinī-śakti they bear forms like Lakṣmī, so color follows naturally.
