Viśvanātha spells it out. Akrūra is the man who had the Syamantaka jewel hidden in his cloth. Śrī Kṛṣṇa, by a cunning move, asked him for it right in the middle of the assembly. Unable to come up with any answer, his mind went blank. And out of fear — 'my master has found out about my crime' — he sagged with exhaustion. So Viśvanātha reads the collapse as driven by fear of being exposed before Kṛṣṇa.
