This is the closing verse. The special devotion to Kṛṣṇa has its own qualities — being weightiest, most venerable, and so on. The mind is to be filled with them.
The concluding verse of the caturtha-laharī (vyabhicāri-bhāva) of the Dakṣiṇa-vibhāga: it sums up how the devotee's mind should stand.

Jīva glosses the verse's word 'gariṣṭhatva'. Read it as carrying a second, Kṛṣṇa-related sense that has been folded in. The weightiness is not ordinary weight; it is a meaning that belongs to Kṛṣṇa.

iti vivecanīyam— this is what must be worked out sets the question the verse will answerयह विचारणीय है — (जिस प्रश्न का उत्तर श्लोक देगा)
govinda-priya-varyāṇāṁ vrajastha-prabhṛtīnām amṛta-upamaṁ cittaṁ — the nectar-like heart of Govinda's dearest, the Vraja folk and others; yathā kathaṁcit bhāva-sambandhena dravībhūtam api — though somehow melted by contact with bhāva; gariṣṭhatva-ādi-guṇaiḥ bahiḥ na prakāśate — does not break out into view through weightiness and the rest; iti vivecanīyam — this is to be discerned.
Viśvanātha sets up the question. The nectar-like heart of Kṛṣṇa's dearest ones — the people of Vraja and others — is inwardly melted by their bhāva, yet it does not spill out visibly as weightiness and such traits. Why the heart stays composed is what must now be worked out.
s2avataranika
etad evāha—kṛṣṇa-bhakteti |
etad eva āha—it is just this that [Rūpa] states: eva: the verse answers precisely the question raised in s1इसी को कहते हैं — ('एव' से; श्लोक इसी उठाए प्रश्न का ठीक उत्तर देता है)
kṛṣṇa-bhakti itiin the words 'kṛṣṇa-bhakti…' pratīka naming the verse'कृष्ण-भक्ति' इस (श्लोक) से — (श्लोक का नामकरण करने वाला प्रतीक)
etad eva āha — he says exactly this; kṛṣṇa-bhakti iti — with 'kṛṣṇa-bhakti…'.
And it is exactly this that the verse states, beginning 'kṛṣṇa-bhakti…'.

gariṣṭhatva-ādibhiḥ guṇaiḥ sadā manaḥ samavetaṁ bhavet — the mind should always be joined with the weightiness-qualities; ataḥ — therefore; śīghraṁ bahiḥ na prakāśate — it does not quickly show outwardly; iti bhāvaḥ — this is the sense.
Viśvanātha's answer: because the mind is always saturated with these weighty qualities, they do not suddenly burst into outward view. Being constantly full of them is exactly what keeps the heart composed.
