bhikṣāmalms — that, and nothing sought beyond it object of aśnīmahiभिक्षा को — अश्नीमहि का कर्म
āśā-vāsaḥthe quarters of the sky for our clothing āśā = the directions/open space; a bahuvrīhi describing 'we' — 'sky-clad'जिसका वस्त्र दिशाएँ ही हैं ऐसा (हम) — बहुव्रीहि, अर्थात् दिगम्बर, खुला आकाश ही ओढ़ना

vayaṁ bhikṣām aśnīmahi — we would eat alms; āśā-vāsaḥ vasīmahi — clad in the open quarters, we would clothe ourselves.
We would live on alms, eating only what is begged. For clothing we would wear the open sky — the four directions themselves are our garment.
An udāharaṇa illustrating the vyabhicāri-bhāva jñāna (discerning wisdom / detachment), per the lead-in 'tatra jñānena, yathā vairāgya-śatake (55) bhartṛhariḥ' — Bhartṛhari, Vairāgya-śataka 55. The renunciant's boast of needing nothing is the illustration.

bhagavat-sambandhi-jñānamit is knowledge bearing on the Lord (bhagavat) that is meantभगवान् से सम्बन्ध रखने वाला ज्ञान
āhāryamand this is to be supplied by importing it āhārya = adventitiously brought in; the bhakti sense is not on the surface of Bhartṛhari's words and must be read into themआहार्य है — बाहर से लाकर जोड़ा हुआ; भक्ति का अर्थ भर्तृहरि के शब्दों की सतह पर नहीं, उसे भीतर पढ़ना पड़ता है
aśnīmahi iti atra — here in this 'aśnīmahi' verse; bhagavat-sambandhi-jñānam — the knowledge that relates to the Lord; āhāryam — is to be imported.
Jīva: in this verse the jñāna being illustrated is not bare renunciation. It is knowledge connected with the Lord — and that Lord-directed sense has to be read into (āhārya) Bhartṛhari's words for the verse to serve as a bhakti example.
āhārya is a technical term — 'adventitiously introduced, imported from outside the plain wording.' Jīva flags that Bhartṛhari's stanza is on its face dry vairāgya; its use here as an example of a devotional jñāna depends on supplying the bhagavat-connection.
