gṛhiṇi — O lady of the house; gahanayā antaḥ-cintayā — because of a deep inner worry; unnidra-netrā — you whose eyes are robbed of sleep.
Kṛṣṇa speaks to his mother Yaśodā. O lady of the house, a deep worry inside you has left your eyes unable to sleep.
An udāharaṇa of cintā (anxiety), the 22nd vyabhicāri-bhāva, defined at 2.4.136 as a meditation-like brooding born either of not gaining the wanted (iṣṭānāpti) or of facing the unwanted (aniṣṭāpti). This verse illustrates the aniṣṭāpti kind, as the lead-in 'aniṣṭāptyā' states.

Do not let a flood of hot tears wither your lotus-face.

aham eva — I myself; drāk — very soon; tava sutam — your son; parāvartayāmi — will bring back.
I myself will bring your son back to you in no time. Kṛṣṇa, promising his own quick return, is himself 'your son'.
The fear that this reassurance answers — that Kṛṣṇa might not return from Mathurā — is what Jīva and Viśvanātha both take up next.

snapaya iti ādau — where the opening runs 'snapaya'; glapaya na … iti eva pāṭhaḥ — the reading is precisely 'glapaya na …'.
Jīva settles the text. Some copies open the line with 'snapaya' (bathe), but the right reading is 'glapaya na mukha-padmaṁ tapta-bāṣpa-plavena' — do not wither your lotus-face with hot tears.
A pāṭha (variant-reading) note: Jīva rejects 'snapaya' and fixes 'glapaya na' as the true text.

On 'I will bring him back at once', one should not for a moment fear the unwanted — that he might fail to return.

So the real 'unwanted' here is not any danger to Kṛṣṇa, but his staying on in Mathurā after killing Kaṁsa — that is what Yaśodā truly dreads.
Jīva relocates the aniṣṭāpti: not the fear that he perishes, but that he does not come home — matching the lead-in cause 'aniṣṭāptyā'.

Viśvanātha fills in the names: 'lady of the house' is Yaśodā, 'the king's city' is Mathurā, and 'reaching' means arriving there. Kṛṣṇa says: I will quickly bring your son back.

Viśvanātha agrees with Jīva that Garga's word rules out the fear, but does not restate the aniṣṭa as 'staying in Mathurā'.
