Blind with love, my friend, you gave over your own beautiful body to him. That much is already done — the whole self handed across.
vara-vapur-arpaṇam = the surrender of her very body; this is the 'elephant' the closing line will name.

vikrīte kariṇi kim aṅkuśe vivādaḥ ||
vikrīte kariṇionce the elephant has been sold locative absolute — 'when the elephant is [already] sold'जब हाथी बिक ही चुका (सति-सप्तमी)
kimwhy? — a rhetorical 'none at all'क्या, कैसा (विवाद)
aṅkuśeover the goad locative of the matter: the trifling driving-hook that goes with the elephantअंकुश के विषय में — हाथी के साथ जाने वाला तुच्छ अंकुश (सप्तमी)
vivādaḥa dispute, a haggling nom.; the whole clause = 'what quarrel over the goad?'
kariṇi vikrīte — the elephant once sold; aṅkuśe — over the goad; kim vivādaḥ — what dispute [could there be]?
When the elephant itself is already sold, who haggles over the little goad? The body is the elephant, the glance the goad — grant the trifle, you have already given the whole.

Jīva spells out the comparison. When the elephant is sold, does anyone quarrel even about handing over the goad? No. Just so here — will there be any grudging over the glance? None whatever. That is the point.
