mukundam āviṣkṛta-viśva-rūpaṁ
mukundamat Mukunda (Kṛṣṇa) — the one Arjuna is gazing at accusative, object of nirūpayan in L2मुकुन्द को (L2 के निरूपयन् का कर्म)
mukundam āviṣkṛta-viśva-rūpaṁ — at Mukunda, who had revealed his universal form
Arjuna is gazing at Kṛṣṇa, who has just shown him the viśva-rūpa, the universal form. This is the moment on the battlefield when the whole cosmos opens up before him.
An udāharaṇa of bhaya (fear) as a vyabhicāri-bhāva (the fleeting moods of the caturtha-laharī, 2.4); the lead-in reads bhayāt, 'from fear'. The picture: seeing the viśva-rūpa, Arjuna is so overwhelmed that he does not even notice his bow slipping from his hand.

nirūpayan vānara-varya-ketuḥ |
nirūpayanas he gazes upon, keeps looking at present participle, nominative — the subject is Arjuna, named nextदेखते-निहारते हुए (वर्तमान कृदन्त, कर्ता अर्जुन — जो आगे बताया गया है)
vānara-varya-ketuḥthe one whose banner bears the best of monkeys (Hanumān) — i.e. Arjuna bahuvrīhi = 'having Hanumān as his banner-emblem'; Viśvanātha unpacks it in c2जिसकी ध्वजा पर वानर-श्रेष्ठ (हनुमान) का चिह्न है, ऐसा वह (बहुव्रीहि)
vānara-varya-ketuḥ nirūpayan — the hero with Hanumān on his banner, as he gazes on
The one doing the gazing is 'he whose banner carries the best of monkeys' — a kenning for Arjuna, whose chariot-flag bears Hanumān. Viśvanātha spells this out in his comment.
vānara-varya, 'the best of monkeys', is Hanumān; ketu is the banner-emblem. So the whole compound points to Arjuna without naming him.

karāravindāt purataḥ skhalantaṁ
karāravindātfrom his lotus-hand ablative of source — the point the bow is slipping away fromकर-कमल से — जिससे धनुष खिसक रहा है (पञ्चमी, अपादान)
purataḥright in front of himसामने की ओर
skhalantaṁas it slips, slides away present participle, accusative, qualifying gāṇḍīvaṁ in L4खिसकते हुए (वर्तमान कृदन्त, L4 के गाण्डीव का विशेषण)
karāravindāt purataḥ skhalantaṁ — [the bow] slipping from his lotus-hand, right in front of him
The bow is sliding out of his lotus-like hand, falling away right there in front of him. The detail sets up the punchline: it drops, and he does not even register it.
kara-aravinda, 'lotus-hand', is the standard gentle metaphor for a beautiful hand; the point is that even this loosening grip goes unnoticed.

khaṇḍita-dhīḥhis wits shattered, his awareness broken bahuvrīhi, nominative = Arjuna — the cause of his not noticingजिसकी बुद्धि (भय से) विचलित हो गई है, ऐसा वह (अर्जुन) — इसी कारण उसे भान न हुआ (बहुव्रीहि, कर्ता)
khaṇḍita-dhīḥ gāṇḍīvaṁ skhalantaṁ na viveda — with his wits shattered, he did not notice the Gāṇḍīva slipping
His mind is so broken by the sight that he never notices the Gāṇḍīva slipping away. That blank, unaware losing of his own famous bow is the mark of overwhelming fear (bhaya).

vānara-varyo hanumān sa eva ketuś cihnaṁ yasya sa arjunaḥ ||
vānara-varyo hanumān'the best of monkeys' means Hanumānवानर-श्रेष्ठ अर्थात् हनुमान
sa eva ketuś cihnaṁ yasyahe who has precisely that [Hanumān] as his banner-emblem eva pins 'that one' = Hanumān; ketu is glossed by the synonym cihna, 'emblem'; yasya opens the bahuvrīhiवही (हनुमान) ही जिसका केतु अर्थात् चिह्न है — 'एव' से 'वही' हनुमान पर बल; केतु का अर्थ पर्यायवाची 'चिह्न' से किया; 'यस्य' से बहुव्रीहि आरम्भ
sa arjunaḥthat one is Arjunaवह अर्जुन है
vānara-varyaḥ hanumān; sa eva ketuḥ (cihnaṁ) yasya, sa arjunaḥ — 'best of monkeys' is Hanumān; he whose banner-emblem is that Hanumān, that is Arjuna
Viśvanātha decodes the kenning: 'best of monkeys' is Hanumān, and the one whose banner carries Hanumān as its emblem is Arjuna. He glosses ketu (banner) with cihna (emblem) so the compound reads plainly.
