An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) in the caturtha-laharī on the vyabhicāri-bhāvas (2.4). The lead-in files it under sad-viveka, 'discriminating wisdom' — the cause from which the passing mood here arises. Spoken by King Mucukunda in the Tenth Canto (BhP 10.51), waking after ages to see his kingly life as wasted.

'bhūpateḥ' and everything through L4 stand in the genitive, all describing the same 'mama' (of me) opened in L1 — the speaker piling up what kind of man let his life run out.
