tasyāḥ susrāva netrābhyāṁ vāri praṇaya-kopajam |
tasyāḥof her (Satyabhāmā) genitive, possessor of the eyes and the tearsउन (श्री सत्यभामा) का — जिनके नेत्र और जिनके आँसू हैं
netrābhyāmfrom her two eyes ablative dual — the source the water flows fromदोनों नेत्रों से — जहाँ से वह जल बहता है
vāriwater — i.e. tears (the subject)जल, अर्थात् आँसू
praṇaya-kopajamborn of a lover's anger adjective of vāri: -ja = 'arising from'प्रणय-कोप से उत्पन्न — यही उस आँसू का विशेषण है
tasyāḥ netrābhyām — from her two eyes; praṇaya-kopajam vāri — water born of loving anger; susrāva — streamed forth.
Water — tears — streamed from her two eyes. And these tears were born of praṇaya-kopa, the anger a lover feels. So even her weeping is the weeping of love, not of grief.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), quoted from the Hari-vaṁśa (2.66.24) under the lead-in 'roṣeṇa' — tears arising from anger. It illustrates aśru, weeping, as a sāttvika-bhāva of the third laharī (2.3), here in its angry-loving variety.

kuśeśaya-palāśābhyām avaśyāya-jalaṁ yathā ||
kuśeśaya-palāśābhyāmfrom the two petals of a lotus ablative dual, matching netrābhyām — the two eyes are the two petalsकमल की दो पंखुड़ियों से — जो netrābhyām से मेल खाती हैं, दो नेत्र ही दो पंखुड़ियाँ हैं
yathājust as — marks the simileजैसे — उपमा जोड़ने वाला शब्द
yathā — just as; kuśeśaya-palāśābhyām — from the two petals of a lotus; avaśyāya-jalam [susrāva] — dew-water [streams down].
Just as dew-water slides down from the two petals of a lotus — that is the picture. Her two eyes are the two lotus-petals; the tears are the dew.
The simile is set up limb-for-limb: two eyes ↔ two petals, tears ↔ dew. The commentators disagree on how far the likeness reaches — see Jīva below.

tasyā śrī-satyabhāmāyāḥ, tatra śobhāṁśa eva dṛṣṭāntaḥ, na tu śaityāṁśe ||
tasyā śrī-satyabhāmāyāḥ'of her' means of Śrī Satyabhāmā — naming who is weepingउन (श्री सत्यभामा) का — जिनका यहाँ वर्णन है
tatrathere, in this simileवहाँ, अर्थात् इस उपमा में
śobhā-aṁśa eva dṛṣṭāntaḥthe comparison holds only in the aspect of beauty eva restricts it — 'in the beauty-part alone'केवल शोभा के अंश में ही दृष्टान्त है — 'eva' शब्द इसे शोभा-अंश तक ही सीमित कर देता है
na tu śaityāṁśebut not in the aspect of coolness tu draws the contrast; locative 'in the coolness-part'परन्तु शीतलता के अंश में नहीं — 'तु' शब्द भेद दिखाता है, और सप्तमी 'शीतलता के अंश में'
tasyāḥ — of her, i.e. Śrī Satyabhāmā; tatra — in this simile; śobhāṁśe eva dṛṣṭāntaḥ — the likeness applies only to the beauty; na tu śaityāṁśe — but not to the coolness.
Jīva first fixes who 'her' is: Śrī Satyabhāmā. Then he limits the simile. Dew on a lotus is both beautiful and cool. But the comparison is meant only in the beauty — tears glistening on her eyes look like dew on petals. It is not meant in the coolness, because these are tears of anger, and anger is hot, not cool.
A technical restriction on how far a dṛṣṭānta (illustrative comparison) reaches. A comparison need not match at every point: 'the face is a moon' borrows the moon's loveliness, not its spots. Here Jīva says the lotus-dew lends only its beauty (śobhā) to the picture; its coolness (śaitya) is excluded, since praṇaya-kopa tears are warm.

tasyā satyabhāmāyāḥ kuśeśayasya padmasya patrābhyāṁ yathā nīhāraṁ jalaṁ susrāva ||
tasyā satyabhāmāyāḥ'of her' means of Satyabhāmāउन सत्यभामा का
kuśeśayasya padmasyakuśeśaya means the lotus glosses the verse-word kuśeśaya with the plain padmaकुशेशय अर्थात् कमल की — श्लोक-शब्द कुशेशय को सादे पद्म से समझाते हैं
patrābhyāmfrom its two petals glosses the verse's palāśābhyām — palāśa = petal/leafदो पत्तों (पंखुड़ियों) से — श्लोक के पलाश की व्याख्या, पलाश = पंखुड़ी/पत्ता
yathājust asजैसे
nīhāraṁ jalamdew-water glosses avaśyāya with the plainer nīhāraनीहार (ओस) का जल — अवश्याय को सादे नीहार से समझाते हैं
susrāvastreamed downबह निकला
tasyāḥ satyabhāmāyāḥ — of her, Satyabhāmā; yathā kuśeśayasya padmasya patrābhyām — just as from the two petals of a lotus; nīhāraṁ jalam susrāva — dew-water streamed down.
Viśvanātha simply reads the verse plainly, swapping the ornate words for common ones: kuśeśaya just means the lotus, palāśa its petals, avaśyāya the dew. Sense: as dew-water streams from a lotus's two petals, so her tears streamed from her eyes.
A straight word-gloss, no restriction added: kuśeśaya = padma (lotus), palāśa = patra (petal), avaśyāya = nīhāra (dew). Viśvanātha does not raise the beauty-vs-coolness point that Jīva does.
