vihasasi kathaṁ hatāśe paśya bhayenādya kampamānāsmi |
vihasasiyou are laughing (at me)तू हँस रही है
kathamwhy?
hatāśeO hopeless one! (a reproach flung at the friend) vocative, hata-āśā "one whose hopes are dashed" — a teasing scoldअरी निराश हो चुकी सखी!
paśyajust look!
bhayenaout of fear instrumental of cause — the trembling's stated reason (the pretext she gives)भय के कारण (यही कारण वह स्वयं बताती है)
kampamānā asmiI am trembling present participle + asmi — "I stand here shaking"मैं काँप रही हूँ (काँपती हुई खड़ी हूँ)
hatāśe — O hopeless one; katham vihasasi — why are you laughing (at me)?; paśya — look!; adya — right now; bhayena — out of fear; kampamānā asmi — I am trembling.
"Why are you laughing at me, you hopeless girl? Look — I'm shaking with fear this very moment!" A gopī scolds her friend and points to her own trembling body. The lead-in (harṣeṇa, yathā) tells us the real cause is joy, not fear: Kṛṣṇa is coming near, and her delight sets her trembling. She names "fear" only as a cover.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of kampa — trembling — arising from harṣa (joy), one of the sāttvika-bhāvas treated in the tṛtīya-laharī (BRS 2.3). The lead-in "harṣeṇa, yathā—" ("[produced] by joy, as follows") names joy as its cause; the speaker's plea of "bhaya" (fear) is the pretext her mood invents.

cañcalam upasīdantaṁ nivāraya vraja-pates tanayam ||
cañcalamthe restless one accusative, agreeing with tanayam — the object of "restrain"चंचल (जो शांत नहीं रहता) — तनय का विशेषण
upasīdantamwho is coming near, approaching present participle, accusative — the action she wants stoppedपास आते हुए को (यही क्रिया वह रुकवाना चाहती है)
nivārayahold him back! stop him! imperative — her order to the friendरोक दे (सखी को दी गई आज्ञा)
vraja-pateḥof the lord of Vraja (Nanda) genitive dependent on tanayamव्रज के स्वामी (नन्द) का
tanayamthe sonपुत्र को
vraja-pateḥ tanayam — the son of the lord of Vraja; cañcalam — the restless one; upasīdantam — who is drawing near; nivāraya — hold him back!
"Stop him — hold back that restless son of the Vraja-king who's coming right up to me!" She calls Kṛṣṇa "the restless one" and begs her friend to keep him off. The demand is play-acting: dressed as a request for protection, it is really her joy at his approach spilling over as trembling.
