kṛpī-sute aśvatthāmni'the son of Kṛpī' = Aśvatthāmā'कृपीसुत' अर्थात् कृपी के पुत्र अश्वत्थामा के
muradviṣi śrī-kṛṣṇe'mura-dviṣ' = Śrī Kṛṣṇa — and He is the arrow's target: 'at Kṛṣṇa' Viśvanātha reads muradviṣi as a locative naming whom the shaft is aimed at, not merely 'before whom''मुरद्विष्' अर्थात् मुर के शत्रु श्रीकृष्ण के प्रति — विश्वनाथ इस सप्तमी को यह बताने वाली मानते हैं कि बाण किस पर लक्ष्य है, केवल 'जिसके सामने' नहीं
patri-mokṣaṁ kartum icchatiwhen [Aśvatthāmā] wishes to loose his arrow read as a sati-saptamī 'when'-clause (the segment's following 'ati' looks like a scribal slip)जब वह बाण छोड़ना चाहता है — इसे सति-सप्तमी वाला 'जब' का उपवाक्य पढ़ा गया है

ruṣā krodhena'ruṣā' means: out of anger'रुषा' अर्थात् क्रोध के कारण
kṣaṇaṁ niṣkriyo'bhūtfor a moment he became motionlessएक क्षण के लिए क्रियाहीन हो गया
akṛpe kṛpā-rahite — merciless; kṛpī-sute aśvatthāmni — the son of Kṛpī, Aśvatthāmā; muradviṣi śrī-kṛṣṇe — at Śrī Kṛṣṇa; patri-mokṣaṁ kartum icchati — when [he] wishes to loose his arrow; kapidhvajo'rjunaḥ — Arjuna the monkey-bannered; śatru-niṣkraye satvaro'pi — though quick to destroy an enemy; ruṣā krodhena — out of anger, [thinking] 'māṁ vihāya kathaṁ śrī-kṛṣṇo hanyate iti' — 'how, passing over me, can Kṛṣṇa be struck?'; kṣaṇaṁ niṣkriyo'bhūt — for a moment became motionless
Viśvanātha unpacks the words. 'akṛpe' is merciless; the son of Kṛpī is Aśvatthāmā; 'mura-dviṣ' is Śrī Kṛṣṇa — and Viśvanātha makes Kṛṣṇa the target of the shaft. So: when the merciless Aśvatthāmā moves to loose his arrow at Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna — the monkey-bannered, normally quick to cut down any foe — is seized by anger. His thought: 'How dare anyone strike at Kṛṣṇa, passing right over me?' Overcome by that indignation, for a moment he cannot move.
The segment reads 'icchati ati'; the 'ati' appears to be a scribal slip and is not glossed as a separate word.
