L1example
yasyānurāga-pluta-hāsa-rāsa-
yasyaof whom (of Kṛṣṇa) — sets up the relative clause the whole verse hangs on genitive picked up later by anurāga (his loving glances) and by māna (honor received from him)जिस कृष्ण की — यह षष्ठी आगे 'अनुराग' (उसके प्रेमभरे कटाक्ष) और 'मान' (उससे पाया गया आदर) दोनों से जुड़ती है
anurāga-pluta-hāsa-rāsa-flooded with love, laughing, in the rāsa dance — describing his glance (compound runs on into L2) anurāga-pluta = drenched in love; hāsa = laughing; rāsa- feeds into rāsa-līlā across the line-breakअनुराग में डूबे हुए हास्य से युक्त — 'रास' शब्द पंक्ति के अन्त पर आगे रास-लीला से जा मिलता है
yasya — of whom (Kṛṣṇa); anurāga-pluta-hāsa-rāsa- — [whose] love-flooded, laughing, rāsa-dance… [glance]
The verse opens with a long 'of whom' — of Kṛṣṇa. It piles up words for his glance: flooded with love, breaking into laughter, given in the rāsa dance. All of this is still leading up to the noun 'glance', which lands on the next line.
An udāharaṇa of stambha — being stunned motionless — arising from harṣa (joy); the lead-in 'tatra harṣāt' places it here in the sāttvika-laharī. The gopīs stand frozen with their chores unfinished. Quoted from Bhāgavata 3.2.14 (Uddhava speaking).
L2example
līlāvaloka-pratilabdha-mānāḥ |
līlā-avaloka-by his playful glance — completes the compound begun in L1 (his loving, laughing, rāsa-time playful look)लीला भरी चितवन से — कृष्ण की क्रीड़ामयी दृष्टि के द्वारा
pratilabdha-mānāḥthe women who thereby won his regard / gained honor — describes the gopīs of L3 bahuvrīhi qualifying vraja-striyaḥ: 'by whom honor was received' → 'who received honor'जिन्हें मान (आदर) प्राप्त हुआ — यह बहुव्रीहि व्रज-स्त्रियों का विशेषण है
līlā-avaloka- — by [his] playful glance; pratilabdha-mānāḥ — [the women] who had gained honor [thereby]
Now the compound closes: 'playful glance.' And the gopīs are described as those who won honor from it — Kṛṣṇa's loving, laughing look in the rāsa dance singled them out, and that was their honor.
L3example
vraja-striyo dṛgbhir anupravṛtta-
vraja-striyaḥthe women of Vraja — the subject of the whole verseव्रज की स्त्रियाँ (गोपियाँ)
dṛgbhiḥwith their eyes — the instrument by which their minds ran after him instrumental of means, taken with anupravṛtta-dhiyaḥ: their thought followed him through their eyesआँखों के द्वारा — यह तृतीया 'अनुप्रवृत्त-धियः' से जुड़ती है, कि उनका चित्त आँखों के रास्ते उसके पीछे चला गया
anupravṛtta-following after [him] — compound runs on into dhiyaḥ in L4पीछे-पीछे लगा हुआ, उसके अनुसार दौड़ता हुआ
vraja-striyaḥ — the women of Vraja; dṛgbhiḥ — with their eyes; anupravṛtta- — [whose minds] ran after [him]…
Here is the subject at last: the women of Vraja. Through their eyes their attention streamed after Kṛṣṇa — they could not take their gaze off him. The word for 'minds' finishes on the last line.
L4example
dhiyo’vatasthuḥ kila kṛtya-śeṣāḥ ||
dhiyaḥwhose minds — completes 'minds following after him' from L3 anupravṛtta-dhiyaḥ, bahuvrīhi: 'whose thought had run after him'जिनकी बुद्धि (चित्त) — 'अनुप्रवृत्त-धियः' बहुव्रीहि है, जिनका चित्त उसके पीछे दौड़ गया
avatasthuḥthey stood stock-still — the main verb; this frozen standing is the stambha being illustratedवे (जड़वत) खड़ी रह गईं, ठहर गईं
kilaindeed / so it is told — a note of report and wonderनिश्चय ही, ऐसा कहा जाता है
kṛtya-śeṣāḥwith their household chores left unfinished — describes the women, showing how total the trance was bahuvrīhi: 'of whom a remainder of work was left over'जिनका काम अधूरा शेष रह गया — बहुव्रीहि, जिनके पास बचा हुआ काम पड़ा रह गया
anupravṛtta-dhiyaḥ — [the women] whose minds ran after him; avatasthuḥ — stood stock-still; kila — indeed; kṛtya-śeṣāḥ — with their chores left half-done
Minds gone after him, the gopīs simply stood there, frozen. 'Kila' — so the story goes. And their housework was left hanging, unfinished. That freezing-in-place, chores abandoned, is the stambha this verse is brought to illustrate.

yasya śrī-kṛṣṇasya'of whom' means: of Śrī Kṛṣṇa — pinning down who the relative pronoun namesजिस श्रीकृष्ण की — 'यस्य' को वे श्रीकृष्ण से जोड़ते हैं
anurāga-pluta-hāsādibhiḥ karaṇaiḥby means of [his glances,] love-flooded, laughing and the rest — glossing them as the instruments he reads the compound as instrumental karaṇa: the laughing, love-soaked looks are the toolsअनुराग में डूबे हास्य आदि रूपी साधनों के द्वारा — वे इस समास को करण-रूप तृतीया मानते हैं, कि प्रेमभरी हँसती चितवनें ही साधन हैं
pratilabdhaḥ mānaḥ ādaraḥ yābhiḥby whom honor — that is, loving regard — was received: so 'māna' here means ādara, esteem he unpacks the bahuvrīhi pratilabdha-mānāḥ and glosses māna as ādara, not 'sulking pride'जिनके द्वारा मान अर्थात् आदर प्राप्त हुआ — वे बहुव्रीहि 'प्रतिलब्ध-मानाः' को खोलते हैं और 'मान' का अर्थ आदर करते हैं, न कि रूठकर किया गया अभिमान
tathābhūtā vraja-striyaḥsuch, then, are the women of Vraja — folding the description back onto the subjectवैसी (आदर पाई हुई) व्रज की स्त्रियाँ
dṛgbhiḥ karaṇaiḥby means of the eyes — again naming these as the instrument he glosses dṛgbhiḥ explicitly as karaṇa, the means by which the mind followedआँखों रूपी साधनों के द्वारा — वे 'दृग्भिः' को स्पष्टतः करण बताते हैं, जिसके द्वारा मन पीछे चला गया
śrī-kṛṣṇe anupravṛttā dhīḥ yāsāmwhose thought ran on after Śrī Kṛṣṇa — supplying 'toward Kṛṣṇa' as what the mind followed unpacks anupravṛtta-dhiyaḥ; he adds the object śrī-kṛṣṇe, 'onto Kṛṣṇa', which the verse only impliesजिनकी बुद्धि श्रीकृष्ण में लग गई (पीछे दौड़ गई) — वे 'अनुप्रवृत्त-धियः' को खोलते हैं और 'श्रीकृष्ण में' यह कर्म जोड़ते हैं, जिसे श्लोक केवल संकेत में कहता है
tādṛśyaḥ satyaḥbeing of that sort — i.e. while they were in that state feminine of sat, a loose locative-absolute sense: 'they being such'वैसी होती हुई — 'सत्' का स्त्रीलिङ्ग रूप, ढीले सति-सप्तमी के अर्थ में, कि 'वे वैसी होकर'
darśana-samayeat the time of seeing [him] — fixing when this happened locative of time; the whole trance is 'while looking at Kṛṣṇa'दर्शन के समय — यह कालवाची सप्तमी है; सारी यह तन्मयता 'कृष्ण को देखते समय' की है
kṛtyasya gṛha-kṛtyasya śeṣaḥ yāsāmwhose duty — namely household duty — had a remainder left over: so 'kṛtya' means housework he narrows kṛtya to gṛha-kṛtya and unpacks the bahuvrīhi kṛtya-śeṣāḥजिनका कर्तव्य अर्थात् घर का काम शेष रह गया — वे 'कृत्य' को घर के काम तक सीमित करते हैं और बहुव्रीहि 'कृत्य-शेषाः' को खोलते हैं
tathā-vidhāḥ tasthuḥsuch women stood [there] — the finished main clauseवैसी (जड़वत) होकर वे खड़ी रह गईं
yasya = śrī-kṛṣṇasya; anurāga-pluta-hāsa-ādibhiḥ karaṇaiḥ pratilabdhaḥ mānaḥ (ādaraḥ) yābhiḥ, tathābhūtāḥ; dṛgbhiḥ karaṇaiḥ śrī-kṛṣṇe anupravṛttā dhīḥ yāsāṁ tādṛśyaḥ satyaḥ; darśana-samaye gṛha-kṛtyasya śeṣaḥ yāsāṁ tathā-vidhāḥ vraja-striyaḥ tasthuḥ
Viśvanātha names the 'of whom' as Śrī Kṛṣṇa. His love-flooded, laughing glances are the instruments by which the gopīs 'received honor' — and he glosses that honor as ādara, esteem, not sulky pride. Through their eyes, taken as the instrument, their thought ran on toward Kṛṣṇa. So situated, at the very moment of seeing him, these women — with their household chores left half-done — stood there.
Two of his glosses are interpretive: he supplies 'toward Kṛṣṇa' (śrī-kṛṣṇe) as what the mind followed, and he narrows kṛtya to gṛha-kṛtya, plain housework — the verse says only 'duty'.

gṛha-kṛtya-nirvāhaḥ na jātaḥthe carrying-out of household work simply did not happen na jātaḥ = 'was not brought about' — the chores never got doneघर के काम का निर्वाह नहीं हुआ — 'न जातः' अर्थात् 'सम्पन्न नहीं हुआ', काम पूरा ही नहीं हो पाया
iti bhāvaḥthis is the sense [of the verse]यही तात्पर्य है

His closing point: while they gazed at him, the housework simply did not get done. That is the whole thrust of the verse — the trance was so complete that ordinary duties fell away.
