L1definition
divya-sargādi-kartṛtvaṁ brahma-rudrādi-mohanam |
divya-sargādi-kartṛtvaṁhis being the maker of the divine creation and the restदिव्य सृष्टि आदि का कर्तृत्व — अर्थात् वही अलौकिक सृष्टि आदि का करने वाला है
brahma-rudrādi-mohanamhis bewildering Brahmā, Rudra, and the othersब्रह्मा, रुद्र आदि को भी मोहित कर देना
divya-sargādi-kartṛtvam — his being the author of the divine creation and so on; brahma-rudrādi-mohanam — his bewildering Brahmā, Rudra, and the rest
The inconceivable power shows itself in these marks. Kṛṣṇa is the author of the divine creation and the rest. He bewilders even Brahmā, Rudra, and the other great gods.
Opens the definition (lakṣaṇa) of the 56th quality named in the lead-in, avicintya-mahā-śakti — inconceivable great power. These nominatives are the marks that make up that power.
L2definition
bhakta-prārabdha-vidhvaṁsa ity ādy acintya-śaktitā ||
bhakta-prārabdha-vidhvaṁsahis destroying a devotee's prārabdha, the karma already bearing fruitभक्त के प्रारब्ध कर्म का भी विध्वंस कर देना
ity ādithese and the like ādi closes an open list — the marks named are samples, not the whole'इति आदि' — इतने से सूची बन्द होती है, अर्थात् ये चिह्न केवल उदाहरण हैं, पूरी गिनती नहीं
acintya-śaktitāis [what is called] the inconceivable power (acintya-śakti) nominative predicate — the abstract -tā names the very quality being definedयही अचिन्त्य-शक्तिता है — '-ता' प्रत्यय से बना भाववाचक प्रथमान्त पद, जो परिभाषित किये जा रहे उसी गुण का नाम है
bhakta-prārabdha-vidhvaṁsaḥ — the destroying of a devotee's fructifying karma; iti ādi — these and the like; acintya-śaktitā — this is the inconceivable power
And he destroys a devotee's prārabdha — the karma that has already begun to bear fruit. These, and others like them — that is what is called the inconceivable power.
prārabdha: in the karma theory shared across Indian schools, the slice of accumulated karma that has already started to ripen in the present life and normally must be lived out; here Kṛṣṇa's power cancels even that.

divya iti — regarding 'divya-'; uttarottara-nyūna-kramaḥ — the order is one of each successive item being lesser
Jīva takes up 'divya-sargādi.' The 'and the rest' is a ranked list, he says, running downward — each following item is lesser than the one before it.

ādi-śabda-grahaṇātbecause the word 'ādi' (and the rest) is included ablative of reason — the presence of 'ādi' licenses the inference'आदि' शब्द के ग्रहण के कारण — क्योंकि 'आदि' कहा गया है, इसी से यह अनुमान बनता है

brahma-rudrādi iti — in 'brahma-rudra-ādi'; ādi-śabda-grahaṇāt — because 'ādi' is used; saṅkarṣaṇaḥ api jñeyaḥ — Saṅkarṣaṇa too must be understood
In 'brahma-rudra-ādi,' the 'ādi' (and the rest) is doing real work. Because it is there, Jīva says, we must count Saṅkarṣaṇa too among those Kṛṣṇa bewilders — not just Brahmā and Rudra.

uttarottara-jñāna-prakarṣa-kramātbecause the sequence goes by ever-greater knowledge — each named god knows more than the last ablative of reason — explains why the brahma-rudra-ādi list is ordered as it isउत्तरोत्तर ज्ञान की श्रेष्ठता के क्रम के कारण — इसी से ब्रह्म-रुद्र-आदि की सूची का यह क्रम बनता है

prāyo māyāstu me bhartur nānyā me 'pi vimohinī iti'Surely this is my Lord's māyā; no other power could bewilder even me''प्रायः मेरे स्वामी की माया ही (मोहित करती है), मुझे भी और कोई मोहिनी नहीं' — यह वचन

The brahma-rudra-ādi list runs by increasing knowledge, so bewildering each higher one is the more striking. As proof Jīva quotes Brahmā's own words: 'Surely this is my Lord's māyā; no other could bewilder even me.'
Why cited: Brahmā's own admission — scriptural proof (BhP 10.13.37) that Kṛṣṇa bewilders even the most knowing gods, so 'brahma-rudrādi-mohanam' holds.

The 'divine' in 'divine creation,' says Jīva, reaches as far as Kṛṣṇa's being the antaryāmī — the inner controller present within the whole brahmāṇḍa, the cosmic egg.

The verse's short form 'vidhvaṁsa' stands for 'vidhvaṁsana' — the act of destroying [the devotee's prārabdha]. Jīva supplies the action-noun so the sense is 'a destroying Kṛṣṇa performs.'

Viśvanātha reads 'divine' as reaching up to Kṛṣṇa's being the antaryāmī within every non-material (aprākṛta) universe. He adds 'non-material' and 'all,' where Jīva said simply 'the universe.'

Why cited: A pointer to BhP 10.13.57 as scriptural proof that Brahmā and the other gods are themselves aprākṛta (transcendental) — backing Viśvanātha's wider reading of divyatva in s1.
