An udāharaṇa of sarvajñatva, the 'all-knowingness' defined in 2.1.182; quoted from the Bhāgavata (1.15.11), Arjuna's words. Kṛṣṇa sensed the Pāṇḍavas' unspoken peril by omniscience alone and came unbidden — that is what makes the verse an illustration of the all-knowing quality.

Jīva Gosvāmī walks the verse through by question-and-answer. 'He who protected us' — those are Arjuna's words. Kṛṣṇa knew the Pāṇḍavas' danger by his omniscience alone — Jīva pins the whole point on sarvajñatva, the very quality this section defines — and so came to the forest and saved them. From what? From a curse-danger with no way out, and its occasion was Durvāsā. Which Durvāsā? The one the enemy set on them, that is, incited by Duryodhana; the sage who eats leading ten thousand disciples. Yudhiṣṭhira invited him with the whole company. Then where had Durvāsā gone? Into the river to bathe, his troop with him. He lingered there for his rites. Meanwhile Kṛṣṇa did what? He ate the one leftover scrap of vegetable-rice stuck to the pot. And from that, Durvāsā felt the three worlds themselves were full — so how much more would his own disciples be. That is Jīva's reading.

Viśvanātha unpacks the compound vinimagna-saṅghaḥ as a bahuvrīhi describing Durvāsā — 'the one whose troop was immersed' — rather than a plain description of the troop.

tatāh kiṁ kṛtvā jugopa ? tatrāha—sthālī-lagnaṁ śākānna-śiṣṭam upayujyeti |

tataḥ kim ? tatrāha—yataḥ śākānnopayogād dhetoḥ durvāsās trilokīṁ tṛptām amaṁsta, kiṁ punaḥ svān ity arthaḥ ||
tataḥ kim ?and then what?
tatrāha—yataḥ śākānna-upayogāt hetoḥto this he says: because of that eating of the vegetable-rice, as the cause ablative of cause reinforced by hetoḥइस पर कहते हैं — जिस कारण, शाक-अन्न के ग्रहण के हेतु से ('उपयोगात्' पंचमी हेतु, जिसे 'हेतोः' और पुष्ट करता है)
durvāsāḥ trilokīṁ tṛptām amaṁstaDurvāsā reckoned the three worlds fully fed double accusative: judged the three worlds (obj.) to be satisfied (pred.)
kiṁ punaḥ svān ity arthaḥhow much more his own [disciples]! — that is the sense kiṁ punaḥ = a fortiori 'how much more'फिर अपने (साथियों) की तो बात ही क्या — यही अर्थ है ('किं पुनः' 'कहाँ अधिक' के अर्थ में अधिक-न्याय दिखाता है)
tataḥ kim — then what?; yataḥ śākānna-upayogāt hetoḥ — because of that eating of the vegetable-rice; durvāsāḥ trilokīṁ tṛptām amaṁsta — Durvāsā reckoned the three worlds fed; kiṁ punaḥ svān ity arthaḥ — how much more his own disciples, is the sense
And then? From that single mouthful, Durvāsā felt the entire three worlds were satisfied. If the three worlds felt full, Viśvanātha closes, then how much more his own band of disciples — that is the point.
