One who keeps working right up until the result actually comes — that one is called sthira, 'steadfast.' This is the definition; the verse that follows shows the quality in Kṛṣṇa.
The lakṣaṇa (definition) of sthira, the steadfast one; the following four lines are its udāharaṇa.

An udāharaṇa of sthira, 'steadfastness,' the quality defined in L1: the illustration is Kṛṣṇa recovering the Syamantaka jewel — searching the forest, entering the bear's cave, and only turning back once he held it.

yuga-paryāptayoḥ kṛtam'kṛta' [is used] in the two senses 'yuga' and 'paryāpti (completeness)' genitive dual = 'for the senses of'; the quoted lexical entry'युग' और 'पर्याप्ति' — इन दो अर्थों में 'कृत' शब्द आता है (यह उद्धृत कोश-वचन है)
kṛta-dhiyāṁ — kṛta-dhī; pūrṇa-dhiyāṁ janānāṁ — means people of complete mind; yuga-paryāptayoḥ kṛtam — 'kṛta' means 'yuga' and 'paryāpti'; ity amaraḥ — so the Amara-kośa.

He then explains kṛta-dhī: it means people whose mind is complete, fully made up. He backs this by the Amara-kośa, where 'kṛta' carries the senses of 'yuga' and of 'paryāpti,' completeness — so kṛta-dhī is one whose mind is complete.
