koṭayo brahma-hatyānām agamyāgama-koṭayaḥ |
koṭayaḥcrores (tens of millions) — of them nom. pl. in form, but taken as object 'koṭīḥ' per the commentaryकरोड़ों को (रूप में प्रथमा, पर अर्थ में कर्म — 'कोटीः')
brahma-hatyānāmof the killings of brāhmaṇas gen. pl.ब्रह्महत्याओं की
agamya-āgama-koṭayaḥand crores of approaching forbidden women (illicit sex) nom.-form dvandva compound, likewise taken as objectऔर अगम्य-गमन (निषिद्ध स्त्री के संग) की करोड़ों को
brahma-hatyānām koṭayaḥ — crores of brahmin-killings; agamya-āgama-koṭayaḥ — and crores of illicit sexual unions
koṭayaḥ — करोड़ों को; brahma-hatyānām — ब्रह्महत्याओं की; agamya-āgama-koṭayaḥ — और अगम्य-गमन की करोड़ों को
Crores of the sin of killing brāhmaṇas. And crores of the sin of going in to forbidden women. These are the sins named here. This line sets up the huge pile of sin that the next line says gets burned.
ब्रह्महत्या के करोड़ों (पाप), और अगम्य स्त्री के संग-गमन के करोड़ों (पाप) —
Why cited: Skānda-Purāṇa verse quoted to show the fruit of seeing the ārātrika (lamp-offering) — that it burns away even limitless sin.
क्यों उद्धृत: स्कन्द-पुराण का यह श्लोक आरात्रिक (दीप-आरती) के दर्शन का फल दिखाने के लिए उद्धृत है — कि वह असीम पाप को भी भस्म कर देता है।
brahma-hatyā: in the wider tradition, killing a brāhmaṇa is the classic mahā-pātaka, the gravest of sins; agamya-gamana: intercourse with a woman one may not approach. Here they simply stand for sin at its worst — piled up by the crore.
ब्रह्महत्या — किसी ब्राह्मण का वध; परम्परा में यह सबसे बड़ा महापातक, सब पापों में घोरतम माना गया है। अगम्य-गमन — जिस स्त्री के पास जाना निषिद्ध हो, उसके साथ संग। यहाँ ये दोनों घोरतम पाप के प्रतीक हैं — करोड़ों की संख्या में ढेर लगे हुए।

mukhamthe face — and this face is the doer that burns nom. sg., the grammatical subject (kartṛ)मुख (जो कर्ता है — जलाने वाला)
viṣṇoḥ sa-ārātrikam mukham — Viṣṇu's face lit by the waved lamp; āloka-mātreṇa dahati — burns [those crores of sins] by mere sight
dahati — जला देता है; āloka-mātreṇa — केवल देखने-मात्र से; viṣṇoḥ — विष्णु का; sa-ārātrikam — आरती-सहित; mukham — मुख (कर्ता)
Viṣṇu's face, lit up by the waved ārātrika lamp, burns all that sin. And it does so just by being seen. A single glimpse is enough. The face is the agent doing the burning; the crores of sins are what get burned.
विष्णु का आरती-सहित मुख, केवल देखने-मात्र से ही, उन (करोड़ों घोर पापों) को जला देता है।
Why cited: Same Skānda verse: adduced to establish that merely seeing the lamp-lit face of the Deity destroys even crores of the gravest sins.
क्यों उद्धृत: वही स्कन्द-श्लोक — यह सिद्ध करने के लिए कि भगवान के दीप-प्रकाशित मुख का केवल दर्शन ही करोड़ों घोरतम पापों को नष्ट कर देता है।
ārātrika (āratī): the ceremony of waving a lamp before the Deity; sa-ārātrikam mukham = the Lord's face as it shows in the lamplight during that offering.
आरात्रिक (आरती) — विग्रह के सम्मुख दीप घुमाने का अनुष्ठान; 'आरती-सहित मुख' अर्थात् उस आरती के समय दीप-प्रकाश में प्रकट होता भगवान का मुख।

punaḥ śrīmad-arcāmātrārātrika-darśana-phalam āha—koṭayaḥ koṭīr iti |
punaḥagain — now once more adv.फिर, पुनः
śrīmad-arcā-mātra-ārātrika-darśana-phalamthe fruit of seeing the ārātrika of merely the holy Deity-form acc. sg., object of 'āha'केवल श्री अर्चा-विग्रह की आरती के दर्शन का फल
āhahe states / he tells 3rd sg. perfectकहते हैं (ग्रन्थकार)
koṭayaḥ koṭīḥ iti'koṭayaḥ' here means 'koṭīḥ' — read the word as the object, 'crores', not as the subject iti flags a word-gloss: nom.-form → acc. sense'कोटयः' अर्थात् 'कोटीः' (करोड़ों को) — ऐसा शब्दार्थ बताते हुए
punaḥ āha — again he states; śrīmad-arcā-mātra-ārātrika-darśana-phalam — the fruit of seeing the ārātrika of just the holy Deity; koṭayaḥ = koṭīḥ iti — and 'koṭayaḥ' is to be read as 'koṭīḥ' (the object 'crores')
punaḥ — फिर; śrīmad-arcā-mātra-ārātrika-darśana-phalam — केवल अर्चा-विग्रह की आरती के दर्शन का फल; āha — कहते हैं; koṭayaḥ koṭīḥ iti — 'कोटयः' अर्थात् 'कोटीः', ऐसा
Now Śrī Jīva says: here Rūpa Gosvāmī again gives the fruit — this time the fruit of seeing the ārātrika of even just the worshipable Deity-form. Then a grammar note: the word koṭayaḥ, which looks like a subject, should be understood as koṭīḥ, the object — 'crores [of sins]', the thing that gets burned.
फिर (ग्रन्थकार) केवल अर्चा-विग्रह की आरती के दर्शन का फल कहते हैं — 'कोटयः कोटीः' इत्यादि श्लोक से। यहाँ 'कोटयः' (प्रथमा-रूप) को 'कोटीः' (करोड़ों को) समझना चाहिए।
arcā: the Deity installed for worship; 'arcā-mātra' — even 'merely' the Deity-form (as against Viṣṇu directly), so the point covers ordinary temple worship too.
अर्चा — पूजा के लिए स्थापित विग्रह; 'अर्चा-मात्र' अर्थात् (साक्षात् विष्णु नहीं, केवल) अर्चा-विग्रह भी — इससे यह फल सामान्य मन्दिर-पूजा पर भी लागू होता है।

mukhaṁ kartṛ ||
mukhamthe word 'face' (mukham) nom. sg.'मुख' (शब्द)
kartṛis the agent — the doer of the verb 'burns' predicate: grammatical subject/agentकर्ता है
mukham — 'mukham'; kartṛ — is the agent (of dahati)
mukham — 'मुख' शब्द; kartṛ — कर्ता है
And 'mukham', the face, is the agent. That is, the face is the doer of the verb 'burns'. So it is the Lord's lamp-lit face that does the burning — not the sins, which are only the object.
यहाँ 'मुख' ही (क्रिया का) कर्ता है।
