spṛṣṭvā itithe verse beginning 'spṛṣṭvā' (having touched) the pratīka, naming the verse'स्पृष्ट्वा' इस पद से (श्लोक का नामांकन)
atha — now; śrīmad-arcā-mātrasya sparśa-adhikāriṇāṁ — for those entitled to touch even the holy Deity-image by itself; sparśa-māhātmyam — the greatness of that touch; āha — he states, spṛṣṭvā iti — with the verse 'spṛṣṭvā'.
Now Jīva sets up the verse. It states the greatness of touch — but of touching even just the holy Deity-image. And it is meant for those who are entitled to touch it. That is what the verse beginning 'spṛṣṭvā' teaches.
arcā-mātra: arcā is the worshipable Deity-image; mātra ('merely, only') marks that this verse is about touching even just the image — not Viṣṇu's fuller forms — so the fruit follows from contact with the image alone.
