When, on the bank of the Yamunā, will I be chanting your names? The line opens a longing question — the devotee is picturing a moment he does not yet have.

tāṇḍava: home meaning, the vigorous cosmic dance of Śiva; here simply the devotee's own uncontrolled, ecstatic dancing driven by love.

kadāhaṁ yamunā-tīre iti dūrataḥ prārthanā kasyacid ajāta-bhāvasya |
kadāhaṁ yamunā-tīre itithe verse beginning 'kadāhaṁ yamunā-tīre' — Jīva names the verse by its opening words"कब मैं यमुना के तट पर" यह (पद)
dūrataḥ prārthanāis a prayer made from far off — asking for something still out of reach ablative dūrataḥ = 'from a distance'दूर से की गई प्रार्थना है
kasyacid ajāta-bhāvasyabelonging to someone in whom bhāva (loving emotion) has not yet been born genitive of the person whose prayer it is; ajāta = 'not yet arisen'किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति की, जिसका भाव अभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ
kadāhaṁ yamunā-tīre iti — this verse; kasyacid ajāta-bhāvasya — of someone whose bhāva is not yet born; dūrataḥ prārthanā — is a prayer from afar
Jīva says: this 'kadāhaṁ yamunā-tīre' verse is a prayer made from a distance. It belongs to a devotee in whom bhāva — settled loving emotion — has not yet arisen. He is reaching for something he does not yet possess.
bhāva: home meaning in poetics, any emotional state; here the technical bhakti sense — the first sprout of real love (rati) for Kṛṣṇa. 'Not yet born' places this speaker just before that stage.

yataḥ samprārthanā anutpanna-bhāvasya |
yataḥbecause — Jīva gives the rule behind what he just said causal adverbक्योंकि
anutpanna-bhāvasyabelongs to one in whom bhāva has not arisen genitive; anutpanna = 'not arisen'उसकी, जिसका भाव उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ
yataḥ — because; samprārthanā — entreaty; anutpanna-bhāvasya — belongs to one whose bhāva has not arisen
And here is why. 'Entreaty' (samprārthanā) is the state of a devotee in whom bhāva has not yet arisen. That is the defining mark of entreaty — you beg for what you still lack.
samprārthanā: 'entreaty, earnest prayer.' Jīva is fixing it as a technical stage — the praying of one who does not yet have love, as opposed to lālasā below.
s3definition
lālasā tu jāta-bhāvasyeti bhedaḥ |
lālasā tuyearning (lālasā), by contrast — 'tu' marks the other side of the pair tu = 'but, whereas'परन्तु लालसा (तीव्र उत्कण्ठा)
jāta-bhāvasyabelongs to one in whom bhāva HAS been born genitive; jāta = 'arisen'उसकी, जिसका भाव उत्पन्न हो चुका है
iti bhedaḥ— this is the distinction between the twoयही भेद है
lālasā tu — yearning, on the other hand; jāta-bhāvasya — belongs to one whose bhāva is born; iti bhedaḥ — this is the difference
Yearning (lālasā), on the other hand, belongs to a devotee in whom bhāva has already been born. So there is the distinction: entreaty comes before love arises, yearning comes after. That is the whole difference between the two.
The pair samprārthanā vs lālasā works like a viśeṣaṇa (defining trait) test. Compare 'a blue lotus' (blue is part of what the flower IS) with 'the house with the crow on it' (the crow only points it out). Here the defining trait is intrinsic: whether bhāva has arisen (jāta) or not (ajāta) is what a state IS, not just a clue to spot it — that presence or absence of bhāva is exactly what makes one entreaty and the other yearning.

lālasāmayatvāt samprārthanāpy atra lālasety eva hi bhaṇyate |
lālasāmayatvātbecause it is saturated with yearning — the verse is all longing through and through ablative of cause; -maya = 'made of, full of', -tvāt = 'because of the state of'क्योंकि यह लालसा से ओतप्रोत है
samprārthanāpyeven the entreaty-part here as well api = 'even, too'सम्प्रार्थना भी
atrahere — in this verseयहाँ
lālasety eva hi bhaṇyateis for that very reason called simply 'yearning' (lālasā) eva = 'precisely'; hi = 'for, indeed'लालसा ही कही जाती है
lālasāmayatvāt — because it is full of yearning; atra — here; samprārthanā api — even the entreaty; lālasā iti eva hi bhaṇyate — is called precisely 'yearning'
One might ask: if this verse is entreaty, why call it yearning? Because it is soaked through with yearning. So here, even the entreaty inside it gets called, precisely, 'yearning.' The dominant mood gives the whole thing its name.
lālasā-maya: '-maya' means 'made wholly of.' The point is that longing so pervades the verse that its entreaty is absorbed into it and takes on its name.

ato lālasāmayīyam |
ataḥtherefore — Jīva draws the result ablative/adverb of consequenceइसलिए
lālasāmayīmade of yearning — this prayer is a yearning-filled one feminine, agreeing with an understood 'prayer/verse'लालसामयी (प्रार्थना) है
iyamthis one — this very verse feminine demonstrativeयह
ataḥ — therefore; iyam — this verse; lālasāmayī — is made of yearning
So the conclusion: this verse is a yearning-filled prayer. It is classed as lālasā, longing, through and through.

In a verse like this, both entreaty and yearning are on display together — and simply from the context, without either being named outright. The setting itself lets you see both at once.
prastāva: 'the occasion, the way the topic is introduced.' Jīva means the pairing is evident from the situation of the verse, not from any explicit label in it.

kintu, rāgānugāyām eva jñeye ||
kintubut — one final qualification must be addedपरन्तु

jñeyethe two are to be understood as belonging gerundive, nominative dual agreeing with the entreaty-and-yearning pairजाननी चाहिए (ये दोनों)
kintu — but; samprārthanā-lālase (understood) — this entreaty and yearning; rāgānugāyām eva — within rāgānugā bhakti alone; jñeye — are to be understood
But one thing must be clear: this entreaty and yearning are to be understood as belonging only to rāgānugā bhakti — devotion following spontaneous attraction. They are not features of rule-bound (vaidhī) practice.
rāgānugā: 'following after rāga (spontaneous loving attachment).' Jīva restricts these longing-states to that path, marking off the whole discussion from vaidhī (regulated) bhakti.

Siddhānta gives a plain word-gloss: O lotus-eyed one, when will I, on the bank of the Yamunā (that is, the Kālindī), chanting your names, my eyes filled with tears, perform the wild dance — that is, dance? He simply swaps in easy synonyms for each hard word and points to the source, Caitanya-caritāmṛta Madhya 23.33.

Kālindī is another name for the Yamunā (daughter of Mount Kalinda); Siddhānta uses it only to gloss yamunā-tīre, not to add anything new.
