kṛṣṇottīrṇaṁ tu nirmālyaṁ yasyāṅgaṁ spṛśate mune |
kṛṣṇottīrṇaṁcome down from Kṛṣṇa — the remnants first offered to Kṛṣṇa and then taken away from him kṛṣṇa + uttīrṇa, nom. sg. n., agreeing with nirmālyaकृष्ण से उतरा हुआ (जो कृष्ण को अर्पित होकर शेष रहा)
tuindeed, now (marks the point being stated)और (बल देकर)
nirmālyaṁthe leavings of worship — the flowers, tulasī and such that were offered nom. sg. n., subjectनिर्माल्य (अर्पण के बाद बचा हुआ शेष) — यही कर्ता है
yasyaof whom, whose gen. sg., relative — correlative saḥ suppliedजिस (पुरुष) का — इसका उत्तर 'सः' अध्याहृत है
aṅgaṁthe body, a limb acc. sg., object of spṛśateअंग को (स्पर्श का कर्म)
spṛśatetouches 3rd sg. pres.स्पर्श कर लेता है
muneO sage voc. sg.हे मुनि
nirmālyaṁ — the leavings of worship; kṛṣṇottīrṇaṁ — that have come down from Kṛṣṇa; tu — now; yasya aṅgaṁ — whose body; spṛśate — it touches; mune — O sage
kṛṣṇottīrṇaṁ — कृष्ण को अर्पित होकर शेष रहा हुआ; tu — और; nirmālyaṁ — निर्माल्य (वह शेष); yasya — जिस (पुरुष) का; aṅgaṁ — अंग को; spṛśate — स्पर्श कर लेता है; mune — हे मुनि
Now, take the nirmālya — the leftovers of worship, the flowers and tulasī that were offered to Kṛṣṇa and then taken down from him. O sage, whoever's body this touches —
हे मुनि! कृष्ण को चढ़ाकर जो निर्माल्य शेष रहता है, वह जिस पुरुष के अंग का स्पर्श कर लेता है —
Why cited: Skānda Purāṇa verse adduced to show the power of Kṛṣṇa's nirmālya (offered remnants) merely touching the body.
क्यों उद्धृत: स्कान्द-पुराण का यह श्लोक इसलिए उद्धृत किया गया है कि कृष्ण के निर्माल्य का केवल शरीर से स्पर्श होना ही कितना प्रभावशाली है — यह दिखाया जा सके।
nirmālya: in general temple usage, the used remnants of any deity's worship, often treated as to be discarded; here (Vaiṣṇava sense) Kṛṣṇa's remnants are purifying and to be honored, not thrown away.
निर्माल्य — सामान्य मन्दिर-व्यवहार में किसी भी देवता की पूजा के बचे-खुचे शेष, जिन्हें प्रायः त्याज्य माना जाता है; परन्तु यहाँ (वैष्णव अर्थ में) कृष्ण के शेष पवित्र करने वाले तथा आदरणीय हैं, फेंकने योग्य नहीं।

tathāand likewise, and alsoतथा (उसी प्रकार)
pāpaiḥfrom sins instr. pl., 'freed from'पापों से (जिनसे छुटकारा मिलता है)
muktaḥfreed, released nom. sg. m., predicateमुक्त — यही विधेय है
bhavatibecomes, comes to be 3rd sg. pres.हो जाता है
nāradaO Nārada voc. sg.हे नारद
[saḥ] — that person; sarva-rogaiḥ — from all diseases; tathā — and likewise; pāpaiḥ — from sins; muktaḥ bhavati — becomes freed; nārada — O Nārada
sarva-rogaiḥ — सब रोगों से; tathā — तथा; pāpaiḥ — पापों से; muktaḥ — मुक्त; bhavati — हो जाता है; nārada — हे नारद
— that person becomes freed from all diseases, and likewise from all sins, O Nārada. So the mere touch of Kṛṣṇa's offered remnants clears away both bodily disease and moral sin.
हे नारद! वह सब रोगों से तथा सब पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है।
Why cited: Names the twin fruit — freedom from every disease and every sin — that the touch of Kṛṣṇa's nirmālya is said to give.
क्यों उद्धृत: यह उस दुहरे फल का नाम लेता है — प्रत्येक रोग से और प्रत्येक पाप से छुटकारा — जो कृष्ण के निर्माल्य के स्पर्श से मिलता कहा गया है।

na vyākhyātam |
nanotनहीं
vyākhyātamexplained, commented on past part., n. sg.व्याख्या (नहीं) की गई
na — not; vyākhyātam — explained
na — नहीं; vyākhyātam — व्याख्या की गई
Not explained. Jīva and Viśvanātha simply note that this verse was left without comment — there is nothing here they need to unpack, so they pass it on to Mukunda's one small note.
इस श्लोक की व्याख्या नहीं की गई।
vyākhyāta: 'explained, glossed.' The editorial shorthand here just flags that the prior commentary left this verse untouched.
व्याख्यात का अर्थ है 'व्याख्या किया हुआ, टीका किया हुआ।' यहाँ यह सम्पादकीय संकेत मात्र इतना बताता है कि पूर्व टीका ने इस श्लोक को अछूता छोड़ दिया।

śrī-mukundaḥ : kṛṣṇottīrṇam ity atra sa iti śeṣaḥ ||
śrī-mukundaḥ :Śrī Mukunda [says] pratīka — naming the commentatorश्री मुकुन्द (यह कहते हैं) — टीकाकार का नाम
kṛṣṇottīrṇam iti atrahere, in the verse beginning 'kṛṣṇottīrṇam' iti + atra, locating the spot'कृष्णोत्तीर्णम्' — इस स्थल पर
sa iti śeṣaḥthe word 'saḥ' (that person) is what has to be supplied to fill the gap śeṣa = the ellipsis, the missing word to be understood'सः' यह शेष (अध्याहृत पद) है
śrī-mukundaḥ — Śrī Mukunda says; kṛṣṇottīrṇam iti atra — here in the 'kṛṣṇottīrṇam' verse; sa iti śeṣaḥ — 'saḥ' is the word left to be supplied
śrī-mukundaḥ — श्री मुकुन्द; kṛṣṇottīrṇam iti atra — 'कृष्णोत्तीर्णम्' इस स्थल पर; sa iti śeṣaḥ — 'सः' यह शेष (छूटा हुआ पद) है
Śrī Mukunda adds one grammatical note. In this verse the sentence has a 'whose body it touches' but never states who then becomes free. So, Mukunda says, you must supply the word 'saḥ' — 'that person.' Read it: whose body the nirmālya touches, that person (saḥ) becomes freed. The correlative to 'yasya' was dropped and is understood.
श्री मुकुन्द कहते हैं — 'कृष्णोत्तीर्णम्' यहाँ 'सः' (वह) शब्द शेष रूप में समझ लेना चाहिए।
śeṣa: literally 'what is left over,' here a technical term for an omitted word the reader must supply to complete the sense — the correlative 'saḥ' answering the relative 'yasya.'
शेष का शब्दार्थ है 'जो बचा रहे'; यहाँ यह पारिभाषिक शब्द उस छूटे हुए पद के लिए है जिसे पाठक को अर्थ पूरा करने के लिए स्वयं जोड़ना पड़ता है — अर्थात् 'यस्य' के उत्तर में आने वाला सम्बन्धी 'सः'।
