18- — the eighteenth aṅga; bhūtānudvega-dāyitā — giving no distress to living beings; yathā mahābharate — as [illustrated] in the Mahābhārata.
Here is the eighteenth limb of practice: giving no distress to any living being. As usual the heading names the aṅga and then points to a scriptural example — this one from the Mahābhārata. The verse follows.

janamany person, other people accusative, objectकिसी प्राणी को (कर्म)
yaḥ — he who; karuṇaḥ — being compassionate; pitā iva putram — just as a father toward his son; janam — any person; na udvejayati — does not disturb or distress
Think of how a father treats his own son: he never causes him fear or pain. In the same way, the compassionate person here never disturbs or distresses anyone. He treats every person as gently as a father treats his child. The line names the quality first — being tender-hearted like a father — and then states what such a person does not do: he gives no one any trouble.
udvejayati: from ud-√vij, causative. In ordinary use 'to make (someone) shudder, alarm, agitate.' Here it means causing distress or unease of any kind to another living being; 'na udvejayati' is the mark of the truly gentle, harmless devotee.

tasyawith him, upon that same person genitive governed by prasīdatiउस पर (षष्ठी, 'prasīdati' के अधीन)
prasīdatibecomes pleased, shows his grace present indicative, main verbप्रसन्न होते हैं (मुख्य क्रिया)
viśuddhasya tasya — with such a perfectly pure person; hṛṣīkeśaḥ — Hṛṣīkeśa (Kṛṣṇa); tūrṇam — quickly; prasīdati — becomes pleased and gracious
Now the reward. With a person as pure as this, Hṛṣīkeśa — Kṛṣṇa, the Lord who governs the senses — is quickly pleased. The purity described in the first line is what draws his grace. And it comes fast: 'tūrṇam' says without delay. So the harmless, father-like gentleness of line one is exactly what makes the Lord turn toward such a devotee with favor.
Hṛṣīkeśa: 'lord of the senses' (hṛṣīka = the senses, īśa = master). The name is chosen with point here: the one who is master of all senses is quickly won by the person who has purified his own. prasīdati governs the genitive tasya — 'is gracious to/pleased with him.'
