Why cited: Padma Purāṇa verse adduced to illustrate 'giving up enjoyment and the like for Kṛṣṇa's sake' (kṛṣṇārthe bhogādi-tyāga).

That wealth is kept in Viṣṇu's world. It is steady — it will not waver or run off. And it is waiting there for you. So what you gave up for Hari has not been lost; a far greater fortune stands ready for you in His realm.
Why cited: Padma Purāṇa verse adduced to show the fruit of renouncing enjoyment for Kṛṣṇa: a steady, greater wealth awaits in Viṣṇu's abode.

Jīva picks up the verse-word 'tyaktavataḥ.' Though it stands in the genitive, he says read the sense as an accusative: 'you, the one who gave them up.' In short, the genitive here points to the person addressed as the object.

Viśvanātha gives the same note as Jīva, word for word. Take the genitive 'tyaktavataḥ' in an accusative sense: 'you, the one who gave them up.' The genitive names the person addressed as the object.
