O friend, don't be angry with me. Not even a little thing is a fault of mine, my fair-faced one.
An udāharaṇa of svapne saṅkīrṇa, the 'mixed' śṛṅgāra set inside a dream (lead-in: atha svapne saṅkīrṇo, yathā—). In a saṅkīrṇa mixture, separation (here māna) and union (here a shower of rasa) are blended; here the blending happens in a dream. The verse is spoken in the voice of a mugdhā (an artless young girl) to her friend.

That rogue Kṛṣṇa, in your dream, poured such a shower of rasa upon me…
The verb ('made', 'poured') is carried over from the sense; the line hangs on tathā… yataḥ, 'in such a way that…'. Note the mugdhā's charming confusion: it was your dream, yet the rasa fell upon me — dream and waking run together, which is exactly the artlessness Viśvanātha marks by calling her mugdhā.

Jīva fixes the antecedent: the 'tām' ('that') in the verse points back to the mānāgni-jvālā — the flame of the fire of māna.

Viśvanātha sets the scene: a certain mugdhā speaks to her friend — which is why the verse opens with 'sakhi.'
mugdhā (from nāyikā-bheda, the classification of heroines): the artless, newly-awakened young heroine, naive in the ways of love. Her confusion of the friend's dream with her own waking experience fits the type.

laghuḥ — [glossed] alpaḥ api, even a little; māna eva agniḥ — māna itself is the fire; tasya jvālā iti — and its flame; svasya kalahāntaritātvaṁ vyanakti — by this she reveals that she herself is a kalahāntaritā.
Viśvanātha: 'laghuḥ' simply means 'even a little.' And in 'māna-agni-jvālā,' the fire is nothing but māna, and this is its flame — so by that very phrase she gives herself away: she is a kalahāntaritā, a girl estranged by her own quarrel.
kalahāntaritā (nāyikā-bheda): the heroine separated from her lover through a quarrel she herself provoked (here by māna), who then repents the estrangement. Naming the fire as māna exposes that this is her condition.

Viśvanātha reads 'asamaye' as 'samprati' — this present, ill-suited moment. (Jīva instead glossed it 'anavasare,' no fit occasion; the decode leaves the two readings side by side, unharmonized.)
