Jīva spells out the division that goes unstated. The claim was that even among a hero's own wedded women, it is secrecy alone that gives the mood its rasa. That twofold form — concealed versus open — is exactly what Rūpa declines to state. So Jīva reads the mūla's 'na proktā'.
जिन सम्भोगों में स्वकीया नायिकाओं में भी गुप्तता ही रस देती है, उनकी द्विरूपता नहीं कही गई — यही अभिप्राय है। परकीया में तो छिपाव स्वाभाविक ही है; किन्तु अपनी विवाहिता में भी गुप्तता ही रस बढ़ाती है।
