soḍhavyaṁ — सहना होगा; te — तुझे; katham api — किसी तरह; balāt — बलपूर्वक; cakṣuṣī — दोनों आँखें; mudrayitvā — मूँदकर
You must somehow bear it — squeeze your two eyes shut by force and endure. (What must be borne comes in the next line.)
हे प्रिये, तुझे किसी न किसी तरह यह सन्ताप सहना ही होगा। अपनी दोनों आँखें बलपूर्वक मूँद ले, और फिर उस पीड़ा को झेल। पहले आँखें बंद कर, तब सहन कर।
This verse (Uddhava-sandeśa 115) is quoted as an udāharaṇa in prakaraṇa 15, śṛṅgāra-bheda, illustrating vipralambha — love-in-separation. Kṛṣṇa, away in Mathurā, sends a consoling message through Uddhava to the gopī Śaibyā (so Viśvanātha frames it at c2.s1). The lover advises her how to survive the fever of separation.

tīvrottāpaṁ — the fierce fever; hata-manasijoddāma-vikrānta-cakram — [that fever being] the whirling assault-wheel of the accursed love-god's unbridled force
tīvrottāpaṁ — तीव्र सन्ताप; hata-manasijoddāma-vikrānta-cakram — अभिशप्त कामदेव का निरंकुश आक्रमण-समूह
What has to be borne is the fierce fever of separation. It is the whirling barrage of the wretched love-god — his unbridled, violent onslaught coming round and round like a war-wheel.
यह सन्ताप कोई साधारण ताप नहीं। यह उस धिक्कृत कामदेव का प्रचण्ड आक्रमण है, जो निरंकुश होकर चारों ओर से घेर लेता है। कृष्ण उसी घोर ज्वर की बात कर रहे हैं।
manasija, 'the mind-born,' is an epithet of Kāma (the god of love / Cupid). hata, literally 'struck, killed,' is used as an abusive 'accursed, wretched' — the beloved curses the love-god who torments her.
'मनसिज' अर्थात् 'मन से उत्पन्न' — यह कामदेव का विशेषण है। 'हत' का शाब्दिक अर्थ 'मारा हुआ, हत' है, पर यहाँ यह गाली की तरह 'अभिशप्त, नीच' के अर्थ में है — विरहिणी उस काम-देव को कोसती है जो उसे तड़पाता है।

In just those few days I shall become the one worked upon by the swaggering onslaughts of your eyebrows — that pair kept restless by love for me. Endure until then, and soon your teasing brows will have me at their mercy again.
तेरे प्रेम से चंचल हो उठे तेरे भ्रू-युगल के जो विलासमय आक्रमण हैं — मैं उन्हीं का सेव्य बन जाऊँगा। विश्वनाथ के पाठ में ये भौंहें ही सेवा करनेवाली कर्ता हैं, और कृष्ण उनके आगे स्वयं को समर्पित कर देते हैं।
The conceit turns on Viśvanātha's reading (c2.s2–s3): āḍambara ('pomp, display') is taken as parākrama ('onslaught, prowess'), and the genitive is an agent-genitive, so the brows are not what is served but the servers — the playful attackers to whom Kṛṣṇa will surrender himself.

āḍambarāḥ — 'āḍambaras'; parākramāḥ — [means] onslaughts; teṣāṁ sevyatāṁ — their 'being-served'; viṣayī-bhūtatvam — [means] becoming the object worked upon
āḍambarāḥ parākramāḥ — आडम्बर अर्थात् पराक्रम; teṣāṁ sevyatāṁ — उनकी सेव्यता; viṣayī-bhūtatvam — विषयी-भूतत्व
First he fixes two words. 'Āḍambaras' does not mean mere pomp here — it means onslaughts, displays of force. And 'sevyatām' (being served) means becoming their object: the one those brow-onslaughts act upon.
'आडम्बर' का अर्थ यहाँ पराक्रम है। 'उनकी सेव्यता' का तात्पर्य है — विषयी-भूतत्व, अर्थात् वह अवस्था जिसमें कोई क्रिया का पात्र बन जाए।
āḍambara ordinarily means 'pomp, showy display'; Viśvanātha reads it as parākrama, 'onslaught, feat of prowess,' fitting the war-imagery of the love-god's assault.
'आडम्बर' का सामान्य अर्थ 'दिखावा, आडम्बर' है; विश्वनाथ इसे 'पराक्रम' अर्थात् 'आक्रमण, बल-प्रदर्शन' के रूप में पढ़ते हैं, जो काम-देव के आक्रमण की युद्ध-कल्पना से मेल खाता है।

kartari ṣaṣṭhīthe genitive [āḍambarāṇām] is an agent-genitive — a ṣaṣṭhī in the sense of the doer grammatical note; kartari = 'in [the sense of] the agent,' ṣaṣṭhī = the genitive caseकर्ता के अर्थ में षष्ठी (कर्तरि = कर्ता के अर्थ में, षष्ठी = षष्ठी विभक्ति)
kartari ṣaṣṭhī — [the genitive āḍambarāṇām is] a genitive in the sense of the agent
kartari ṣaṣṭhī — कर्तरि षष्ठी
He justifies the reading grammatically. The genitive 'āḍambarāṇām' is a kartari ṣaṣṭhī — an agent-genitive. So the brow-onslaughts are not what gets served; they are the agents doing the serving, and Kṛṣṇa is their object.
यहाँ की षष्ठी कर्ता के अर्थ में है, स्वामी के अर्थ में नहीं।
kartari ṣaṣṭhī: a genitive that names the agent (kartṛ) of an action, rather than a possessor. Here it settles who acts on whom — the āḍambaras act, Kṛṣṇa is acted upon.
कर्तरि षष्ठी — वह षष्ठी जो किसी क्रिया के कर्ता का बोध कराती है, न कि सम्बन्ध (स्वामित्व) का। यही तय करती है कि किसका किस पर व्यापार है — आडम्बर कर्ता हैं, कृष्ण उन पर क्रिया के पात्र।

Now the payoff. The single word 'sevyatām' hints at far more than it says. Read it as Kṛṣṇa's inner cry: 'Those love-restless brows of yours are my only real worshippers. Here in Mathurā, with no one to worship me that way, I stand like a temple deity-image that gets no worship at all — and I feel nothing but misery.' None of this is stated; the word 'let-me-be-served' suggests it. That is vyañjanā, suggested meaning.
यहाँ 'सेव्यताम्' पद से यह ध्वनित होता है — वे भ्रू-आडम्बर ही मेरे एकमात्र पूजक थे। अब उनसे रहित होकर मैं मथुरा में एक ऐसी देव-प्रतिमा-सा हूँ जिसे कोई पूजता नहीं, और केवल दुःख ही भोगता हूँ। यह बात कही नहीं गई, व्यंजना से सूचित हुई।
vyañjanā (also dhvani): the power of a word to suggest a sense beyond its literal one. Viśvanātha foregrounds it here — the deity-image (deva-pratimā) picture is the verse's hidden emotional core: a god installed but unworshipped, i.e. Kṛṣṇa loved by no one in Mathurā as the gopīs loved him.
