sahacari — O friend; kāmam — granted; yat — that; kaṁsa-vairī — Kṛṣṇa; dūre — far away; varīvarti — keeps dwelling on and on…
Granted, my friend — let it be true that Kṛṣṇa, the enemy of Kaṁsa, stays on and on far away from me.
An udāharaṇa of bhūta-pravāsa — separation in which the beloved has already gone abroad and remains far off — quoted from Rūpa Gosvāmī's Uddhava-sandeśa (84). Viśvanātha identifies the speaker as Śrī Rādhā addressing her friend Viśākhā.

idam vipad — this calamity; durdinam — a storm-day; lokottaram api — extraordinary though it is; me — me; na dunoti — does not torment.
This calamity — a storm-day like no other in the world — even so, it is not what torments me.
durdinam is literally a sky black with rain-cloud. Rādhā turns the weather-word into the very shape of her disaster: the day of his departure is her 'storm-day'. Yet, she says, that is not the thing that burns her.

The image is a stake or tent-peg (kīla) hammered into the chest. Made of āśā, 'hope [of his return]', it plugs the outflow of the prāṇas — it keeps her alive against her will, which is precisely why it tortures rather than relieves.

na vyākhyātam.
na vyākhyātam[this verse] was not commented on impersonal past passive — 'no gloss was given [by Jīva here]'(जीव ने यहाँ) कोई व्याख्या नहीं की
na vyākhyātam — it was not explained.
Jīva Gosvāmī leaves this verse without a gloss of his own. What follows in his place is supporting scripture and parallel passages showing the same point.
Because Jīva offers no word-gloss here, the edition supplies, in his slot, the Bhāgavata proof-text and a chain of illustrative verses that make the verse's teaching — that only hope keeps the separated gopīs alive.

Why cited: Scriptural proof, from Kṛṣṇa's own mouth, that hope of his return — nothing else — keeps the gopīs alive: exactly the āśā-kīla of the verse, the hope-peg that dams up the life-breath.

Why cited: Adduced to show hope embodied as the 'appointed-date letter': separation so burns her that even moonlight seems fire, yet she lives for, and risks all to save, the written promise of his return — the āśā-kīla in another form.
The śleṣa turns on scorched senses: cool moonlight itself reads to her as house-fire (bhavana-daha), so total is the burning of viraha. And the one thing she runs to save is the avadhi-lekha — the promised return-date, her hope made into a document.

Why cited: Adduced as the specimen for the figure named in the next line: at every step the separated women and the world of nature suffer one and the same fate, coupled by 'sārdham / sākam / saha'.

sahokti-nāmālaṅkāraḥ ||
sahokti-nāma-alaṅkāraḥ[this] is the figure of speech called sahokti — 'saying-together' names the ornament the previous verse displays‘सहोक्ति’ नामक अलंकार (जिसका दर्शन पूर्व-श्लोक में हुआ)
sahokti-nāma-alaṅkāraḥ — it is the ornament named sahokti.
This is the figure called sahokti — 'joint statement': a single verb carries two subjects yoked by 'with' (sārdham / sākam / saha), so that the women and the natural world are said, in one breath, to suffer together.
sahokti (Sanskrit poetics): the ornament in which one predicate is shared by two things linked by a word for 'with' — here nights lengthen with sighs, days thin with bodies, streams fall with tears, the grove withers with lives — binding the heroines' grief to nature's.
