L1definition
harer vidūṣakasyāpi svapnaḥ svapnāyitaṁ mataḥ ||
hareḥbelonging to Hari (Kṛṣṇa) gen. — whose dream it isहरि का (जिसका स्वप्न हो)
vidūṣakasya apiand even of the vidūṣaka (the jester-companion) api = 'even'; gen. paired with hareḥ — the state can belong to eitherअथवा उसके विदूषक का भी
svapnaḥa dreamजो स्वप्न होता है
svapnāyitaṁ mataḥis held to be svapnāyita, 'dream-behaving'वह 'स्वप्नायित' माना गया है
hareḥ vidūṣakasya api — of Hari, and even of the vidūṣaka; svapnaḥ — a dream; svapnāyitaṁ mataḥ — is considered svapnāyita
hareḥ — हरि का; vidūṣakasya api — अथवा विदूषक का भी; svapnaḥ — जो स्वप्न; svapnāyitaṁ mataḥ — वह स्वप्नायित माना गया
A dream — whether it is Kṛṣṇa's own or even his jester-friend's — is what goes by the name svapnāyita, 'dream-behaving.' This is the lakṣaṇa; the next verse is its example.
हरि का — अथवा उसके विदूषक का भी — जो स्वप्न होता है, वह 'स्वप्नायित' माना गया है।
svapnāyita, 'dream-behaving,' is one of the sub-states treated here under śṛṅgāra. The line names who may have it — Hari himself, or even his comic sidekick (vidūṣaka) — so it is not confined to the hero.

'I swear to you, Rādhā: you are inside my heart — and you are outside me as well.'
हे राधे! मैं तुझसे शपथपूर्वक कहता हूँ — तू मेरे हृदय में बसी है, और तू मेरे बाहर भी है।
An udāharaṇa of svapnāyita, the 'dream-behaving' state defined just above in 15.95. Kṛṣṇa lies asleep on the bed beside Candrāvalī and, in his dream, mutters this vow of love to Rādhā (as L4–L5 make clear).
यह ऊपर १५.९५ में परिभाषित 'स्वप्नायित' भाव का उदाहरण है। कृष्ण चन्द्रावली के पास शय्या पर सोए हुए हैं और स्वप्न में राधा के प्रति यह प्रेम-शपथ बड़बड़ाते हैं — जैसा आगे L4–L5 से स्पष्ट होता है।

So ran Kṛṣṇa's sleep-talk. Hearing this muttering in the night...
इस प्रकार स्वप्न में मधुरिपु (कृष्ण) की बड़बड़ाहट को रात में सुनती हुई...
madhu-ripu, 'foe of Madhu,' is a name of Kṛṣṇa (Viṣṇu), who slew the demon Madhu; here it simply means Kṛṣṇa.
मधु-रिपु अर्थात् 'मधु का शत्रु' — कृष्ण (विष्णु) का नाम, जिन्होंने मधु नामक दैत्य का वध किया; यहाँ इसका अर्थ केवल कृष्ण है।

candrāvaliḥ — चन्द्रावली; talpe — शय्या पर; atha — तब; parāvartita-mukhī abhūt — मुख फेरकर हो गई
...Candrāvalī, lying on the bed beside him, then turned her face away. His dream-vow to a rival stings her into a sulk.
...चन्द्रावली शय्या पर तब मुख फेरे हुई हो गई।
Turning the face away (parāvartita-mukhī) is the visible sign (anubhāva) of māna, jealous offense: even in sleep he names Rādhā, and Candrāvalī withdraws.
मुख फेर लेना (परावर्तित-मुखी होना) मान अर्थात् ईर्ष्यायुक्त रोष का प्रत्यक्ष चिह्न (अनुभाव) है — निद्रा में भी वे राधा का नाम लेते हैं, और चन्द्रावली विमुख हो जाती है।

svapnāyitaṁ svapna-kriyā svapno mataḥ |
svapnāyitaṁ svapna-kriyāsvapnāyita means the act of dreaming (svapna-kriyā)स्वप्नायित अर्थात् स्वप्न-क्रिया (स्वप्न देखने की क्रिया)
svapnaḥ mataḥthat is, a dream is what is intendedअर्थात् (यहाँ) स्वप्न ही माना गया है
svapnāyitaṁ — the word svapnāyita; svapna-kriyā — [means] the dream-activity; svapnaḥ mataḥ — that is, a dream is meant
svapnāyitaṁ svapna-kriyā — स्वप्नायित का अर्थ स्वप्न-क्रिया; svapnaḥ mataḥ — अर्थात् स्वप्न माना गया
Jīva unpacks the term: svapnāyita means svapna-kriyā, the activity of dreaming — in plain words, a dream.
स्वप्नायित का अर्थ है स्वप्न-क्रिया, अर्थात् (यहाँ) स्वप्न ही माना गया है।
svapnāyita is grammatically a past participle ('-ita') built on a denominative verb; Jīva reads it simply as 'the dreaming, a dream.'
स्वप्नायित व्याकरण की दृष्टि से एक नामधातु पर बने भूतकालिक कृदन्त ('-इत') रूप है; जीव इसे सरलतया 'स्वप्न देखना, स्वप्न' के अर्थ में लेते हैं।

atra — here; kyaṅ-pratyayaḥ — the suffix kyaṅ; śabdādi-pāṭhāt — because of its being read in the śabdādi list
atra kyaṅ-pratyayaḥ — यहाँ क्यङ् प्रत्यय; śabdādi-pāṭhāt — शब्दादि गण में पाठ होने के कारण
Jīva names the grammar: the suffix that forms svapnāyita is kyaṅ, applied here because 'svapna' is counted in the śabdādi word-group.
यहाँ (स्वप्नायित में) क्यङ् प्रत्यय हुआ है, क्योंकि 'शब्द' आदि गण में इसका पाठ है।
kyaṅ is a denominative (nāma-dhātu) affix of Pāṇinian grammar that turns a noun into a verb meaning 'to behave like / act as' that noun; a gaṇa (word-group) such as śabdādi lists the stems that take it. Note that Viśvanātha below names a different group, lohitādi — the two ācāryas are not reconciled here.

Viśvanātha reads svapnāyita as 'it brought on a dream' — and that dreaming is the svapna. (The wording here is textually uncertain.)
स्वप्नायित अर्थात् जो स्वप्न ले आया — वह स्वप्न (यह गद्यांश संदिग्ध/त्रुटित है)।
Where Jīva glossed svapnāyita as 'the dream-activity,' Viśvanātha turns it toward 'bringing on a dream'; the two glosses are left standing side by side, not harmonized.
जहाँ जीव ने स्वप्नायित का अर्थ 'स्वप्न-क्रिया' किया, वहीं विश्वनाथ इसे 'स्वप्न ले आना' की ओर मोड़ते हैं; दोनों व्याख्याएँ आमने-सामने रहने दी गई हैं, उनमें समन्वय नहीं किया गया।

lohitādi-pāṭhāt — लोहितादि गण में पाठ होने के कारण; kyaṅ — क्यङ् प्रत्यय
Viśvanātha too names the affix kyaṅ, but says it comes in because 'svapna' is counted in the lohitādi group.
'लोहित' आदि गण में पाठ होने के कारण (यहाँ) क्यङ् प्रत्यय हुआ है।
lohitādi is another Pāṇinian word-group licensing the denominative affix. Jīva named śabdādi and Viśvanātha names lohitādi: the same affix, but a different listing cited — the divergence is left unresolved.
लोहितादि उसी नामधातु-प्रत्यय को सिद्ध करनेवाला एक अन्य पाणिनीय गण है। जीव ने शब्दादि का नाम लिया और विश्वनाथ लोहितादि का — प्रत्यय वही है, किन्तु उद्धृत गण भिन्न; यह भेद अनसुलझा छोड़ दिया गया है।

So in Viśvanātha's reading the verse is spoken as a report by Vṛndā to her companion Kundavallī, describing what Kṛṣṇa did and how Candrāvalī reacted.
