vimala-dyutiḥof spotless radiance, her light uncloudedनिर्मल कान्ति वाली
ahaha — ah!; candrāvalī vimala-dyutiḥ — Candrāvalī, of spotless radiance; agre — right in front; vilasati — shines out in full display.
Ah! Right in front of you Candrāvalī is shining in full radiance. On the surface it names the sky — a whole row of moons, spotless and bright; underneath it is Candrāvalī the gopī, unmistakably here before your eyes.
An udāharaṇa illustrating the sweetness of a sakhī's jealous speech (īrṣyā-ukti) at a gotra-skhalana — the lover's slip of the wrong name. Here Kṛṣṇa, absorbed, calls Candrāvalī 'Rādhe,' and her friend Padmā rebukes him (so Viśvanātha). The whole verse works by śleṣa on the moon (candra). Verse from Bilvamaṅgala.

O cheat! That star — the sixteen-year-old Rādhā — where here have you ever spotted her? This is Candrāvalī's gathering, not Rādhā's, so why did her name slip from your lips? Padmā will not even say 'Rādhā' plainly; jealousy lets her say only 'that star.'

O you dark and grimy as darkness itself — get out, and quickly! For my companion's circle of friends has already flushed red with rage. On the moon-layer aruṇa-maṇḍala is the red ring at rising; here it is the sakhīs reddened with anger, a hyperbole.

Jīva unpacks aruṇa-maṇḍalā. Here maṇḍala does not mean 'orb' but 'company, circle of friends.' She is the one whose circle glows like the orb of Aruṇa, the sun's charioteer — that is, red. Since Aruṇa is the ruddy dawn-charioteer, the comparison carries the redness of anger.
