āliṅgyathrowing her arms around it, embracing itआलिंगन करके
rādhā — Rādhā; rodhasi ropitāṁ mukulinīm mal-līlatāṁ — the budding jasmine creeper she had planted on the bank; āliṅgya — having embraced.
Rādhā had planted a jasmine creeper on the river-bank, and now it stands in bud. She throws her arms around it and holds it close. (The one long sentence begun here runs across all four lines.) The very spelling hides a pun: mal-līlatā read as mallī-latā is 'the jasmine creeper,' but the same letters say 'the creeper of my play' — the vine is bound up with her own love.
An udāharaṇa of pūrva-rāga (so Jīva at s2) — the earliest phase of vipralambha, the love-longing that burns before union. Viśvanātha frames the whole verse as Vṛndā reporting Rādhā's plight to a questioner; the reading of the creeper as mallī-latā (jasmine) is his.

hīramayaṁ praśasta-śriyam hāraṁ — the diamond necklace of surpassing beauty; lalitā-haste samarpya — having placed into Lalitā's hand.
She hands over her diamond necklace — a thing of surpassing beauty — laying it into Lalitā's hand. Viśvanātha will make much of that word 'hand': she does not loop it over Lalitā's neck, she thrusts it into her palm.

Her dear friends crowd round chanting the name of Hari — and by that name she is rekindled, like a dying flame fanned back to life. Viśvanātha (s8) explains why the name revives her: the name is nectar, and nectar is the herb that raises the dead.

pūrva-rāga ('prior attachment') is the first of the divisions of vipralambha (love-in-separation): the longing kindled before the lovers' union. Jīva files the whole verse under it.

Viśvanātha sets the frame: someone is asking after Rādhā, and Vṛndā answers, reporting what has befallen Śrī Rādhā. That report is this very verse, 'rādhā…' — so the whole verse is Vṛndā's spoken account.

The source reads 'pūrvṣīṁ,' a corruption; the questioner Vṛndā answers is Pūrṇamāsī. The framing — Vṛndā reporting to a questioner — is Viśvanātha's; the mūla names no speaker.

Viśvanātha decodes the words. 'rodhasi' is the bank of the Yamunā. The creeper is one Rādhā planted with her own hand, and 'mal-līlatā' he reads as mallī-latā, a jasmine vine. So: she embraces the jasmine creeper she herself had raised on the Yamunā's bank.

Viśvanātha now gives the words the embrace stands for — what Rādhā murmurs to the vine. 'O my beloved jasmine! Now I am leaving for another world.' She speaks as one who feels she is about to die of this separation.
'going to another world' = she feels her death is near; the whole speech to the jasmine is Viśvanātha's unpacking of what the bare word 'embracing' (āliṅgya) carries.

Why does the poet say she gave the necklace 'into Lalitā's hand,' not 'onto Lalitā's neck'? Viśvanātha draws the point out. At that moment Rādhā's own hair was undone and spread out wide — so the necklace could not simply be lifted off over her head in the usual way. The reason completes in the next sentence.
The contrast the poet leaves implicit — 'hand' chosen over 'neck' — is what Viśvanātha reads. He supplies the cause: Rādhā's loose, spread-out hair blocked lifting the necklace off her own neck.

Because lifting the necklace off over that spread-out hair would take effort and time, Rādhā simply snaps its string at her neck and puts the necklace into Lalitā's hand. And she says, half to herself: 'Lalitā! Wear this necklace on your neck to remember me by; embrace that hard-to-win one, and live long.' That, says Viśvanātha, is why the verse says 'hand.'
Rādhā is giving away her necklace and, with it, blessing Lalitā to take her own place at Kṛṣṇa's side — the self-surrender of one who feels she is dying. 'sva-gatam' = spoken aside, to herself.

Viśvanātha catches a nuance in 'āpnuvatī' (attaining a swoon). He reads it not as plain 'fainting' but as 'longing to faint' — she wants the swoon, reaches for it, as a release from the pain of separation.
The present participle is read with desiderative force: not merely that she swoons, but that she wills the swoon and seeks it out.

Why does chanting the name bring the swooning Rādhā back? Viśvanātha lays out the chain: the name of Hari is nectar (amṛta); and nectar is the mṛta-sañjīvanī, the herb that raises the dead. So the name, being that nectar-herb, revives her. This is why the verse says she was 'rekindled' by her friends chanting the name.
mṛta-sañjīvanī — the fabled life-restoring herb/nectar of the gods. The reasoning runs: name = nectar, nectar = the reviving herb, therefore the name revives.
