tānava-sthānein the slot where the list gives tānava (emaciation) locative 'in the place of': tānava = wasting-away, one of the stages of love-in-separation; sthāna = its position in the enumerationतानव (विरह में देह का क्षीण होना) के स्थान पर
paripaṭhyateis what gets recited / read outपढ़ा/गिनाया जाता है
kaiścit tu — but by some; tānava-sthāne — in the place of tānava (emaciation); vilāpaḥ — lamentation; paripaṭhyate — is recited
But some authorities, in the very slot where the standard list puts tānava (emaciation), recite vilāpa (lamentation) instead. As an example of that lamentation, the following verse:
The stages of love-in-separation (vipralambha) run as a fixed sequence — abhilāṣa (longing), cintā, smṛti, guṇa-kathana, udvega, pralāpa, tānava (emaciation), and so on to mṛti (death). Rūpa notes a variant enumeration: where the received list has tānava, some read vilāpa. The verse-unit's lead-in 'yathā—' ('as follows') then hands over the illustrating verse (L2-L5).

Right here — she points — at the foot of a fresh kadamba tree, Hari once stood at his play.
The opening line of an udāharaṇa illustrating vilāpa (lamentation), the stage that some place where others put tānava (emaciation) — see L1. Viśvanātha (c2 s1) identifies the speaker as Śrī Rādhā: she leads her friends spot by spot through the places where she once watched Kṛṣṇa at play.

And I — for one moment, tucked out of sight among the creepers, my heart racing — stood there watching him.
sthitaṁ is accusative (him, standing), the thing she watches; paśyantī, vyagrā, and the unstated verb all belong to ahaṁ, 'I'. Viśvanātha (c2 s3) draws out the buried contrast: she watched him then — but not now.

O friends, what can I even say? Accursed Fate has flung me onto a blazing forest-fire.
Hear the echo: dagdha, 'burnt, accursed', modifies Fate, and dāva is the very wildfire she is thrown upon — the burnt-out Creator has hurled her into the flames. The wildfire is her burning torment of separation; Viśvanātha (c2 s4) reads the whole cry as 'no matter what, I am sure to die.'
