kṛṣṇasya — of Kṛṣṇa; darśanam — the seeing; sākṣāt — [may be] in person; citre ca — and in a picture; svapna-ādau ca — and in a dream and the like; syāt — may occur.
Seeing Kṛṣṇa can happen in more than one way: in person, in a picture, and in a dream (and the like). Each of these counts as a real darśana that can kindle love.
This is the lakṣaṇa (verse 15.6): it lists the modes of darśana, the 'seeing' that sparks pūrvarāga — love before the lovers have met. The illustrative verse (15.7) follows.

His beauty is deep and glossy — the very shade of the heart of a blue lotus, as if born from the same womb as it.
Opening line of the udāharaṇa-verse (15.7) illustrating the darśana defined in 15.6 — the seeing of Kṛṣṇa that sparks pūrvarāga. The speaker is disputed and the two included commentators do not agree: Viśvanātha reads it as Rādhā seeing Kṛṣṇa in person, Jīva as Candrāvalī placing it under the dream-mode.

vacanam[this is] the speechवचन
candrāvalyāḥ — of Candrāvalī; pitr-ādibhiḥ — whom her father and elders; saundarya-gopanāya — to hide her beauty; bālyāt eva — right from childhood; dūre gopitāyāḥ — kept hidden far away; tatra eva — and right there; jāta-nava-vayasaḥ — came into fresh youth; svapne dṛṣṭā iti — under the tag 'seen in a dream'; vacanam — this is her speech.
Jīva reads the verse as Candrāvalī's speech. From childhood her father and elders had kept her hidden far away to conceal her beauty, and she came of age there in seclusion — so (under the tag 'seen in a dream') Jīva files this as the dream-mode of seeing. Note: Jīva names the speaker Candrāvalī, not Rādhā.
Jīva's identification stands against Viśvanātha's below, who makes it Rādhā seeing Kṛṣṇa in person. The two are not to be harmonized — the same udāharaṇa is claimed for two different modes of darśana (dream vs. in-person).

Jīva turns to textual variants: in other recensions — the ones beginning 'kāsarī śyāma…' — the readings 'nīrada-śyāmā' (cloud-dark), 'kanaka-vasana' (gold-robed), and 'ūrdhvānta-mūrtiḥ' are worth examining. This is a note on variant readings (pāṭha), not on the sense.

A philological pāṭha-note. The exact word each variant replaces is not spelled out in the segment; Jīva only flags that these alternative readings should be consulted.

Viśvanātha: Śrī Rādhā, watching through the lattice-window of the turret as Kṛṣṇa strolls down the street with two or three of his dear confidential friends, says to Viśākhā the verse beginning 'indīvara…'. For Viśvanātha this is a direct, in-person seeing — and the speaker is Rādhā, not Candrāvalī.

Viśvanātha assigns the verse to the sākṣāt (in-person) mode of 15.6 and names Rādhā the speaker — diverging from Jīva above (Candrāvalī, dream-mode). The two readings are left standing, not reconciled.
