The chapter now lists the kinds of vipralambha, love-in-separation. The first three are named here: pūrva-rāga, the longing that springs up before the lovers have even met; māna, the jealous sulk that keeps them apart though everything for meeting is at hand; and prema-vaicittya, the strange dread of separation that grips the heart even while the beloved is present. The words 'these too' signal the list is still open — one more is coming.
