rajanī-rahasyaṁthe secret of the night — their trystरात का रहस्य
ālī-puraḥ — before her girlfriends; rajanī-rahasyaṁ — the secret of the night; kathayituṁ — to tell it.
The setting: Kṛṣṇa is about to spill the secret of last night's tryst — and he means to tell it right in front of her girlfriends.
An udāharaṇa of sumaitrya ('full, excellent friendliness'), the mood named in the lead-in tatra sumaitryam. The heroine (per Viśvanātha) is Candrāvalī, and the verse is spoken by one of her friends, describing what Candrāvalī did that morning.

The moment Kṛṣṇa moves to tell it, the tender girl's eyebrows begin to dance — a little flash of 'don't you dare.'
Viśvanātha reads the rolling brows as a 'scent of vāmya' (the contrary streak in love) — decoded at his segment 2 below.

The rolling eyebrows are a faint scent of vāmya — the 'leftward', contrary temper in a heroine's love.
vāmya (lit. 'leftness') is the crooked, self-assertive temper of a heroine, opposed to dākṣiṇya (compliant sweetness). Here it is only a 'scent' (gandha), a trace — not the full-blown mood.

Take māna, loving anger: what makes it 'udātta', lofty, is precisely its scent of vāmya. The same thing happens here. At the first move — the hand shooting up — there was no hesitation at all; so this friendliness carries a scent of sakhya, bold equal-to-equal closeness. And because that friendliness fuses smoothly with the lofty mood, both inside and out, it earns the name sumaitrya — full friendliness.
maitrya is the reverential friendliness of a party who feels slightly the lesser. A 'scent of sakhya' means it borrows sakhya's bold, equal footing — no shrinking at the first move — and that boldness, well-blended with the udātta (lofty) mood, is what lifts plain maitrya to sumaitrya.

Contrast the earlier verse 'kācit karāmbujaṁ' (Bhāgavata 10.32.4, quoted here at 14.112). There the loving anger is made lofty by dākṣiṇya — sweet compliance — not by vāmya, and it never surfaces outwardly. So it fails to fuse with the humble friendliness that IS on show, inside and out. That case stays plain maitrya; it does not rise to sumaitrya.
Why cited: Adduced as the contrasting case — a heroine whose love stays plain maitrya — to sharpen by opposition what lifts Candrāvalī's here to sumaitrya: an outwardly-shown, vāmya-flavored boldness that blends with the lofty mood.
