kṛṣṇa-vartmani kṛtābhiniveśo
kṛṣṇa-vartmanion Kṛṣṇa's path — and, by the pun, in the fire locative; kṛṣṇa-vartman = (1) 'Kṛṣṇa's road,' (2) fire, 'the one whose track is black,' a stock name for fireकृष्ण के मार्ग में — अथवा श्लेष से अग्नि में (जिसकी लीक काली होती है)
kṛtābhiniveśaḥyou who have fixed your whole absorption on it bahuvrīhi qualifying tvam: 'one by whom engrossment (abhiniveśa) has been made'जिसने (उसमें) गहरी आसक्ति — अभिनिवेश — कर रखा है (ऐसी तू)
kṛṣṇa-vartmani — on Kṛṣṇa's path (śleṣa: in the fire); kṛta-abhiniveśaḥ — [you] with your absorption fixed on it.
The opening address. 'You who have fixed all your absorption on Kṛṣṇa's path' — and, by the pun, 'you who have pressed up close to the fire.' The one word kṛṣṇa-vartman carries both: the road to Kṛṣṇa, and fire (called kṛṣṇa-vartman, 'the black-tracked one,' because it leaves a charred trail). Everything that follows runs on both tracks at once.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of smaraṇa, remembrance, which the preceding definition folded in under the word 'ādi' ('and the rest') — so the lead-in 'ādi-śabdena smaraṇe, yathā.' Spoken, per Viśvanātha, by the friend Nāndīmukhī to Śrī Rādhā, whose face is suddenly bathed in tears. The whole verse is a śleṣa (pun): a surface story of a shivering woman drawn to a fire, and beneath it Rādhā's mind melting in love for Kṛṣṇa.

'Now you stand here with your body trembling.' On the surface, a woman shivering by a fire; underneath, Rādhā quaking with ecstatic love. Which trembling it is, the commentary will split open.

teyour genitive, construes with manaḥ in L4तेरा (जो आगे L4 के 'मन' से जुड़ता है)
te — your; sneha-pūra-paripāka-mayam [manaḥ] — [a mind] made of the fully ripened flood of sneha.
'Your mind is made entirely of the ripened flood of sneha.' Two senses of sneha are in play: love brought to its peak, and — on the fire-track — oily ghee brought to full melt. The line sets up the closing question: a thing so soft, what will become of it?

'How will your mind not melt away?' The 'how will it not' is a rhetorical certainty — it must melt. On the surface: butter-soft ghee near a blaze cannot but melt. Beneath: a heart made of ripened love cannot but dissolve. One question, both meanings at once — the hinge of the śleṣa.

kṛṣṇa-vartmanithe verse-word 'on the kṛṣṇa-path''कृष्ण-वर्त्मनि' पद का अर्थ —

śleṣeṇaand by the pun (śleṣa)श्लेष के द्वारा
agnauit also means: in the fire (agni)अग्नि में
kṛṣṇa-vartmani — the verse-word; kṛṣṇa-adhvani — = on Kṛṣṇa's road; śleṣeṇa — by śleṣa; agnau — = in the fire.
Jīva unlocks the pun in the very first word. 'kṛṣṇa-vartman' means, straightforwardly, 'Kṛṣṇa's path' — Rādhā is absorbed on the road to Kṛṣṇa. But by śleṣa the same word names fire. So the whole verse runs on two tracks at once. Note the ordering: Jīva puts Kṛṣṇa's path first and fire as the śleṣa-sense — the reverse of Viśvanātha, who takes the fire as the surface and Kṛṣṇa's path as the hidden reading. The decode leaves the two orderings standing.
kṛṣṇa-vartman ('whose track is black') is a conventional Sanskrit name for fire, which leaves a blackened trail. This homograph is the hinge of the verse's śleṣa.

Viśvanātha sets the scene. Rādhā's face is suddenly awash in tears, for no evident reason; seeing this, her friend Nāndīmukhī speaks. Here Viśvanātha takes the fire (vahni) as the surface sense Nāndīmukhī openly voices, with Kṛṣṇa's road as the pakṣe — the second, hidden reading. That is the reverse of Jīva, who named Kṛṣṇa's path first. Both stay as they are.

Now the verse turns to its second layer. In the hidden reading the trembling is no shiver of cold — it is kampa, one of the sāttvika-bhāvas, the involuntary bodily signs of ecstatic love. Her body shakes because she is absorbed in Kṛṣṇa.
sāttvika-bhāva — the involuntary bodily transformations of ecstatic emotion (stupor, sweat, horripilation, faltering voice, trembling, pallor, tears, fainting); kampa (trembling) is one. Here it re-reads 'kampita-gātrī' from cold-shivering to ecstatic quaking — the turn to the second side of the śleṣa.

So the surface hint: therefore you must stand near that fire carefully [or your ghee-soft mind will melt right away]. Viśvanātha marks this as vyañjita — suggested, not said outright. Under cover of warning Rādhā about a fire, Nāndīmukhī is really pointing at her love-melted heart.
