asi ghana-rasa-rūpas tvaṁ
tvaṁyou — Kṛṣṇa, whom the verse addressesतुम (कृष्ण को सम्बोधित करके)
ghana-rasa-rūpaḥmade of ghana-rasa: on one reading thick, dense rasa (the mellow of love); on the second reading cloud-water, rain — ghana a raincloud, its rasa the water it pours śleṣa — the whole verse turns on this double senseजो घनीभूत रस के स्वरूप वाले हो — श्लेष में, जो जल के स्वरूप वाले हो
asiyou areहो
tvaṁ — you, Kṛṣṇa; asi — are; ghana-rasa-rūpaḥ — one whose very form is ghana-rasa, dense rasa / rain-water
You, Kṛṣṇa, are made of ghana-rasa. Read one way, that is thick, concentrated rasa — love's own essence. Read the other way, ghana is a raincloud and rasa is its water: so you are water itself. The whole verse rides on this pun.
The opening line of an udāharaṇa illustrating aṅga-saṅga, 'bodily contact, the embrace' — the topic the lead-in sets up ('tatra aṅga-saṅge, yathā—').

pālīPālī — the gopī named here, the one held in the embraceपाली (नायिका का नाम)
lāvaṇya-sāra-maya-mūrtiḥher body is made of the essence of lāvaṇya: on one reading her loveliness, beauty's glitter; on the second reading saltiness — she is made of the essence of salt śleṣa on lāvaṇya (beauty) / lavaṇatā (saltiness)जिसकी देह सौन्दर्य के सार से बनी है — श्लेष में, लवणता के सार से बनी है
pālī — Pālī; lāvaṇya-sāra-maya-mūrtiḥ — whose form is made of the essence of lāvaṇya (beauty / salt)
Pālī's very body is made of the essence of lāvaṇya. One reading: the essence of beauty, pure loveliness. The other reading: the essence of salt — she is, so to speak, solid salt.

bhavitā nāsyāḥ kathaṁ dravatā ||
asyāḥof her — of Pālīइसकी (पाली की)
kathaṁ na bhavitāhow will there fail to be? — rhetorical: surely there will be kathaṁ + na = 'how could there not be', i.e. it must beकैसे न होगी — अर्थात् अवश्य होगी
dravatāmelting, flowing: on one reading melting with love; on the second, salt dissolving in water śleṣa — the pun pays off hereद्रवता, पिघलना (यहीं श्लेष चरितार्थ होता है)
asyāḥ — of her; dravatā — a melting; kathaṁ na bhavitā — how will it not come about (surely it will)
How could she not melt? Put salt into water and it must dissolve. So, held by you — who are water — Pālī, who is salt, cannot but melt away. And melt with love she does. The rhetorical 'how not?' means: she surely will.

lāvaṇyaṁ — lāvaṇya means; kānti-cākacakyam eva — precisely the glitter of beauty; sāro yasya tādṛśasya — she whose essence that is; pakṣe — on the second reading; lāvaṇyaṁ lavaṇatā eva sāro yasya — lāvaṇya is saltiness itself as the essence; lāvaṇyākhya-vastunaḥ — of the thing called lāvaṇya, salt

Jīva splits lāvaṇya two ways. First: lāvaṇya is kānti-cākacakya, the glitter and shine of beauty — and Pālī's essence is that radiance. Second reading: lāvaṇya is lavaṇatā, saltiness — the essence of the very thing called lāvaṇya, namely salt. So Jīva lays out both halves of the pun.
