nanu — but one may ask; samartha-ratimatīnāṁ śrī-kṛṣṇa-preyasīnām āsāṁ premādayaḥ amī bhāvāḥ — these loves and other emotions of Kṛṣṇa's beloveds who hold samarthā rati; kim eka-jātīyāḥ kiṁ vā bhinna-jātīyāḥ syuḥ — are they of one kind or of different kinds?; tathā tāsu tāsu śrī-kṛṣṇasya vā te kīdṛśāḥ — and likewise, toward each of them, what are Kṛṣṇa's own emotions like?; iti apekṣāyām āha — with this pending, he says: yasyā iti.
Now a question is raised. Take Kṛṣṇa's beloveds who hold samarthā rati. Their emotions — prema and the rest — are they all of one kind, or of many different kinds? And in the same way, toward each of these women, what are Kṛṣṇa's own emotions like? With that question open, he speaks the verse beginning yasyāḥ.
samarthā rati: the highest of the three grades of rati, the love of Kṛṣṇa's paramour gopīs, 'competent' (samartha) to bring even Kṛṣṇa under its sway. It is set here against samañjasā rati (below).

sa premā |
saḥ premāthe word 'saḥ' (in L2) means the prema — the love just spoken of'सः' अर्थात् वह प्रेम
saḥ [iti] premā — 'saḥ' stands for the prema.
The 'saḥ' of the verse names the prema — that same love, now rising in Kṛṣṇa.

samartha-ratimatīnāṁ śrī-kṛṣṇa-preyasīnāmof Kṛṣṇa's beloveds who bear samarthā ratiसमर्थ रति वाली श्रीकृष्ण की प्रेयसियों की
ānantyam ivajust as they are endless in number iva — 'just as': the beloveds' countlessness is the modelजैसे अनन्तता है (वैसे ही)
tat-premādīnām apiso too their loves and the rest api — 'also', extending the countlessness to the emotionsउनके प्रेम आदि भावों की भी
sūkṣma-vicāreṇaon a fine, close analysis instrumental of means: 'by subtle examination'सूक्ष्म विचार के द्वारा
jāteḥ ānantyaṁan endlessness of kinds genitive: the endlessness belongs to the jāti (kind/type)जाति की अनन्तता
jñeyamis to be understoodजान लेनी चाहिए
evaṁ ca — and thus; samartha-ratimatīnāṁ śrī-kṛṣṇa-preyasīnām ānantyam iva — just as Kṛṣṇa's samarthā-rati beloveds are endless; tat-premādīnām api sūkṣma-vicāreṇa jāteḥ ānantyaṁ jñeyam — so too, on close analysis, an endlessness of kinds is to be understood for their loves and the rest.
And so this follows: just as Kṛṣṇa's beloveds who hold samarthā rati are countless, so too — once you look closely — the kinds of their loves are to be known as countless. As many beloveds, so many shades of love.
The verse answers the second horn of s1's question: the bhāvas are of many kinds, not one — and, on fine analysis (sūkṣma-vicāra), of endlessly many.

tathā eva — in the same way; samarthātaḥ — taking samarthā rati as model; sthūlataḥ eva jāti-bhedena — differing by kind only on a broad view; samañjasāyāḥ rateḥ premādayaḥ — the loves and the rest of samañjasā rati; tad-atideśena jñeyāḥ — are to be known by extending that rule to it; yad upariṣṭāt vakṣyate — as will be stated below:

The same holds for the other grade. Take samarthā rati as the model, and — differing from it only in a rough, broad-brush way of counting kinds — the loves of samañjasā rati are to be understood by carrying that same account over to it. As he says later on:
samañjasā rati: the love of Kṛṣṇa's wedded queens (svakīyā), a grade below the paramours' samarthā rati. atideśa is the technical move of transferring a prototype's rule to a parallel case — as a grammatical rule stated for the model form is 'extended' to a derivative. Viśvanātha does not re-analyze samañjasā afresh; he transfers the samarthā account onto it.

A grammatical note: 'udīyate' comes from the root īṅ, listed as 'īṅ gatau', 'īṅ meaning to go'. It is a divādi (fourth-class) root, which is why the present tense inserts -ya-: ud-ī-ya-te.
