ātma-tulyamas a husband equal to herself accusative, describing patim in L2; Viśvanātha instead reads it 'equal only to his own self' = matchless (see his s3)अपने समान (ऐसे पति को) — जो कुल, शील, रूप आदि में उसकी बराबरी करता हो
vidyā-vayo-draviṇa-dhāmabhiḥ — matching him in learning, age, wealth, and influence; ātma-tulyam — [you,] a husband equal to herself.
In learning, in age, in wealth, in influence — and, taking in the lead-in, in family, character, and beauty too — he is her match on every count. So the line calls him a husband equal to herself.
This whole verse (BhP 10.52.38) is quoted here — 'yathā tatraiva' — as an udāharaṇa in the Sthāyi-bhāva prakaraṇa. It is spoken in Rukmiṇī's voice, her letter to Kṛṣṇa; per Viśvanātha (s4) it illustrates how rati, the abiding love, comes to the surface ('ratir ātmano vyānañja').

What girl — one level-headed, well-born, of good family — would not choose you for her husband? The question is rhetorical: every such girl would.

astu tāvat — granted for now; mama ananya-gateḥ vārtā — [set aside] the case of me, who have no other refuge; parā api kā iti — [for] what of even another woman?; tvad-guṇānām sarvāsām api ākarṣaṇe sāmarthyam iti — meaning your qualities can attract every one of them; [tena] sva-dhārṣṭya-doṣaḥ parityājitaḥ — by this the fault of her own boldness is discarded.
Jīva unpacks the rhetorical question. 'Grant, for now, my own case — I, who have no other refuge, would of course choose you. But what of any other woman? She too would choose you.' The point: your qualities can draw every woman there is. And by framing it as 'what girl would not choose you?', Rukmiṇī clears herself of the charge of being forward. Choosing you is no immodesty; it is simply what anyone would do.

ity arthaḥthat is the meaningऐसा अर्थ है
kāle — 'at the time,' i.e. sva-pariṇaya-samaye — at the time of her own marriage; ātmanā svena eva tulyam — equal only to his own self; nirupamam — matchless; ity arthaḥ — that is the sense.
He glosses two words. 'At the time' means at the time of her own marriage. And 'ātma-tulyam' he takes not as 'equal to herself' but as 'equal only to his own self' — that is, matchless, comparable to no one but himself. His qualities set him beyond compare.
ātma-tulyam carries two construals. Read straightforwardly it means 'a husband equal to herself' (matching her in family, character, beauty, etc.) — the base reading behind the mūla. Viśvanātha instead reads ātmanā = svenaiva, 'equal only to his own self,' hence nirupama, matchless. Study keeps both without collapsing one into the other.

he nṛsiṁha — 'O lion among men'; kā na vṛṇīta iti ataḥ — from [her saying] 'what girl would not choose you'; tvad-guṇānām sarvotkarṣakatvāt — because your qualities surpass everything; mama idam dhārṣṭyam na cintanīyam — 'this boldness of mine is not to be reckoned a fault'; iti ratiḥ ātmanaḥ vyānañja — thus her rati revealed itself.

'O lion among men — what girl would not choose you?' By this, Viśvanātha says, Rukmiṇī means: because your qualities surpass everyone's, this boldness of mine should not be counted against me. And in saying so, her rati — her abiding love — comes to the surface. That is the whole point of the verse in a Sthāyi-bhāva chapter: it shows rati revealing itself.
