An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), spoken in Rādhā's voice, for the sthāyi-bhāva of this prakaraṇa — the abiding love (rati) that fastens on Kṛṣṇa alone as its one object. The verse opens by conceding rival charmers, then dismisses them all in L4.

The image reverses the ordinary chase: these men do not go seeking merits; the merits themselves flock to them, the way a self-choosing bride garlands the man she wants.

The peacock feather and the flute are two of the three marks unique to Kṛṣṇa. She frames them by exclusion (vyatireka): she describes whoever lacks them, in order to point silently at the one who has them.

The whole verse turns on this line: whoever lacks the three marks (peacock feather, flute, body-paint) is dismissed as worthless — which leaves only Kṛṣṇa, who bears all three, as worth anything at all.

upalakṣaṇa (an indirect pointer-mark) vs viśeṣaṇa (a defining qualifier): 'the house with the crow on it' locates the house by a crow that need not stay there (upalakṣaṇa); 'the blue lotus' names blueness as part of what the lotus is (viśeṣaṇa). Jīva says the three marks work the first way — they merely help you spot Kṛṣṇa.

na tu viśiṣyatebut he is not thereby defined or qualified tu marks the contrast: pointer, not defining traitपरन्तु उनसे उनका स्वरूप-निर्धारण नहीं होता
taiḥ api — by them too; upalakṣyate eva — he is only pointed out; na tu viśiṣyate — but is not defined.
Even by these marks he is merely pointed out, not defined by them. They locate Kṛṣṇa; they are not what makes him lovable.
The technical hinge: an upalakṣaṇa identifies without constituting (the crow that helps you find the house, then flies off), whereas a viśeṣaṇa is part of the thing's own nature (the blue of the blue lotus). The feather and flute are the crow, not the blue.

evaṁ-bhūtāḥ ca vaikuṇṭha-nātha-raghunātha-ādayaḥ yeand whoever are of this very sort — the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha, Raghunātha (Rāma), and the like naming the exalted rivals Nāndīmukhī might have in mindऔर ऐसे जो वैकुण्ठनाथ, रघुनाथ आदि हैं
teṣāṁ madhye kasmiṁścit apifor not a single one among them api: 'not even one'उनमें से किसी में भी
me ruciḥ na utpadyatedoes any liking of mine arise ruci = mere attraction, the lowest degree of interestमुझे रुचि (तक) उत्पन्न नहीं होती
iti bhāvaḥsuch is the inner sense [of Rādhā's words] bhāva = the unstated feeling Viśvanātha reads outऐसा भाव है
evaṁ-bhūtāḥ ca … ye — and whoever are of this sort, Vaikuṇṭha-nātha, Raghunātha, etc.; teṣāṁ madhye kasmiṁścit api — for not one among them; me ruciḥ na utpadyate — does any liking of mine arise; iti bhāvaḥ.
And the men who really are of that lofty kind — the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha, Rāma, and their sort — for not a single one of them does even a flicker of liking arise in me. That is what Rādhā means underneath.

ruceḥ punaḥ kā vārtā ? man-manogataṁ tu śṛṇv ity āha—na yasyety-ādi ||
ruceḥ punaḥ kā vārtāand as for mere liking — what is there even to say? rhetorical: liking is so far beneath the point it needs no mentionरुचि की तो बात ही क्या (वह तो विषय से बहुत नीचे है)
man-manaḥ-gatam tu śṛṇubut hear, rather, what is in my heart tu turns from dismissing 'liking' to the real matter; manogata = 'what is inside my mind'परन्तु मेरे मन में जो है उसे सुन
na yasya iti-ādiin the line beginning 'na yasya' pratīka of L3, introducing the verse's second half'न यस्य' इत्यादि (तीसरी पंक्ति, श्लोक का उत्तरार्ध) से
ruceḥ punaḥ kā vārtā — as for liking, what is there to say?; man-manaḥ-gatam tu śṛṇu — but hear what is in my heart; iti āha na yasya iti-ādi — so she speaks the line 'na yasya' etc.
'Forget mere liking — there's nothing even to discuss there. Hear instead what is actually in my heart.' And so she goes on with 'na yasya…'.
