First Viśvanātha defines the mood. Ālasya is this: even when you are perfectly able to do a task that ought to be done, you have no wish to do it. Now test it on Kṛṣṇa. If a lover felt that same do-nothing reluctance toward the beloved object itself — toward Kṛṣṇa — then the very attachment would be gone; "no wish to act toward him" just means "love collapsed." So for the gopīs, brimming with love, ālasya toward Kṛṣṇa or toward anything connected with Kṛṣṇa is flatly impossible. But there is another arena. That same indolence, felt toward worn, worldly chores, actually feeds their love — being too absorbed in Kṛṣṇa to bother with the world nourishes the standing emotion. This is why the verse says ālasya is no direct limb, yet is woven in by a turn: it points at the world, and thereby serves the love.
This is why the mūla calls ālasya not a sākṣāt-aṅga: aimed at Kṛṣṇa it would destroy love, so it can only enter rasa obliquely — as indolence toward worldly duty that leaves the gopīs free for Kṛṣṇa.

(50)a bare serial number carried in the printed commentary — an enumeration mark, with no Sanskrit to decode(50) —
(50) — a running numeral in the text; nothing to construe.
This is just a printed serial number, "(50)," sitting in the commentary flow. It carries no words to decode — it only counts ālasya's place in the running enumeration.
A structural numeral, not a Sanskrit atom; left generic because nothing in the included text fixes what it enumerates.
