antar-within her prefix that carries over to antar-janita in L2 — 'produced within'भीतर (ही जो उत्पन्न हुई — यह उपसर्ग आगे 'अन्तर्-जनित' में जुड़ता है)
vipula-pulaka-pāliḥ — she with thick rows of standing goosebumps; sphīta-sītkāram [vyāharantī] — [uttering] with a swelling hiss; antar- — within her (→ antar-janita, next line).

यह स्वर-भंग (गला रुँध जाने) का एक उदाहरण है, जो यहाँ विषाद (गहरी उदासी) से उपजता है। श्रीगीतगोविन्द (6.10) से उद्धृत।

A numbness rises up inside her. It puts a catch in her voice. And so she speaks brokenly, her words flustered and faltering.
भीतर उपजी जड़ता से, और उससे उत्पन्न काकु (स्वर के विकार) से वह व्याकुल है। इसी दशा में वह बोल रही है।

The doe-eyed one is sunk in an ocean of rasa. She is locked fast in meditation on you. The word rasa is double-edged: sweetness in the poem's own reading, poison in the commentator's — the pivot the next atoms turn on.

Jīva hands us the construction. While she stays locked in meditation on you, having fixed her mind on an intense love-longing, she swallowed the whole ocean of rasa. Note the move: he recasts the verse's 'sunk in' (magnā) as an active 'swallowed' (agrāsīt), giving the sentence a finite verb and heightening the image — she does not merely sink, she drains the ocean down.
अन्वय इस प्रकार है — तेरे ध्यान में लीन होकर, तीव्र काम-चिन्ता करके, वह रस के सागर को ही निगल गई। जीव यहाँ 'मग्ना' (डूबी हुई) के स्थान पर 'अग्रासीत्' (निगल गई) — एक सक्रिय मुख्य क्रिया लाकर अन्वय जोड़ते हैं।

How do we know she is truly sunk in it? The evidence, says Jīva, is the opening words 'vipula-pulaka...' and what follows — the standing goosebumps, the hiss, the broken voice. Those bodily signs are the outward proof that she is immersed.
उस (रस-सागर) में डूबे होने का लक्षण 'विपुल-पुलक' इत्यादि पद हैं।

Why 'cheat'? Viśvanātha draws out the charge: your roguery, now bearing its fruit, will make you guilty of a woman's death. If Rādhā dies of this longing, the sin of killing a woman lands squarely on you. That is the weight behind the word cheat.
तेरी धूर्तता आज फल देकर तुझे स्त्री-वध के पाप का भागी बना देगी — यह भाव है।

jaḍimnā yaḥ kākuḥ — the catch in the voice arising from the numbness; tena vyākulaṁ — 'agitated' by that; sa-gadgadam ity arthaḥ — that is, with a choked, faltering voice.
jaḍimnā — जड़ता के कारण; yaḥ kākuḥ — जो काकु; tena — उससे; vyākulaṁ — व्याकुल; sa-gadgadam — गद्गद स्वर से; ity arthaḥ — ऐसा अर्थ है।
He unpacks 'janita-jaḍima-kāku-vyākulaṁ.' The numbness gives rise to a catch in the voice (kāku); and 'agitated' (vyākulaṁ) here means with a choked, stammering, faltering voice. That faltering is the svara-bhaṅga itself — the breaking of the voice this verse illustrates.
जड़ता से जो काकु (स्वर-विकार) उत्पन्न होता है, उससे व्याकुल — अर्थात् गद्गद स्वर के साथ। यही अर्थ है।

yad atyajaṁwhich I gave up atyajaṁ = imperfect 1st sg. of tyaj — she speaks in her own voiceजो मैंने छोड़ दिया (अत्यजं = त्यज् धातु का उत्तम पुरुष एकवचन भूतकाल — वह अपने ही मुख से कहती है)
tat-phalam idam evathis alone is the fruit of that eva = 'this alone', nothing more came of itउसका फल बस यही है (एव = 'यही मात्र', इससे अधिक कुछ नहीं हुआ)
yad atra jājvalīminamely, that here I burn to ash jājvalīmi = intensive of jval, 1st sg. — 'I blaze utterly'कि यहाँ मैं बुरी तरह जल रही हूँ (जाज्वलीमि = ज्वल् का यङन्त रूप, उत्तम पुरुष एकवचन — 'मैं अत्यन्त जलती हूँ')
iti vyāharantīthis is what she keeps utteringऐसा कहती हुई
kula-dharma-lajjā-ādikaṁ yad atyajaṁ — the family duty, modesty, etc. that I gave up; tat-phalam idam eva — this alone is its fruit; yad atra jājvalīmi — namely that here I burn to ash; iti vyāharantī — this she keeps uttering.
kula-dharma-lajjā-ādikaṁ — कुल-धर्म-लज्जा आदि को; yad atyajaṁ — जो मैंने छोड़ा; tat-phalam idam eva — उसका फल बस यही; yad atra jājvalīmi — कि यहाँ मैं अत्यन्त जलती हूँ; iti vyāharantī — ऐसा कहती हुई।
Now he supplies the actual content of her 'uttering' (vyāharantī). Her words: 'Family duty, modesty, everything — I threw it all away for you. And the one fruit it bore is just this: here I stand, burning to ash.' So the verse's bare 'uttering' is filled in with this lament.

viṣa-samudre[read it as] the ocean of poison the second reading of rasa — the śleṣa pivotअर्थात् विष के समुद्र में ('रस' का दूसरा अर्थ — यहीं श्लेष मुड़ता है)
rasa-jala-nidhau — the verse's 'ocean of rasa'; viṣa-samudre — [taken as] the ocean of poison.
rasa-jala-nidhau — रस-सागर में; viṣa-samudre — विष के समुद्र में।
Here the śleṣa turns. In Gīta-govinda's own reading, 'ocean of rasa' is the ocean of love's nectar. But Viśvanātha takes rasa in its other dictionary sense — poison — so the line becomes 'sunk in an ocean of poison.' Rādhā, burning in separation, is drowning not in sweetness but in venom. Both readings ride on the single word rasa; he does not cancel the first, he lets the second sound through it. The next citation authorizes the poison-sense.
'रस के सागर में' — अर्थात् विष के समुद्र में। यहाँ 'रस' शब्द का दूसरा अर्थ (विष) लिया गया है।

śṛṅgārādau viṣe vīrye guṇe roge drave — in the aesthetic moods, in poison, in potency, in a quality, in disease, in a liquid; rasaḥ — the word rasa applies; ity amaraḥ — so says Amara.
śṛṅgārādau — शृंगार आदि में; viṣe — विष में; vīrye — वीर्य में; guṇe — गुण में; roge — रोग में; drave — द्रव में; rasaḥ — 'रस' शब्द; ity amaraḥ — ऐसा अमरकोश।
He backs the poison-reading with the lexicon. The Amara-kośa lists the senses of rasa: the aesthetic moods (śṛṅgāra and the rest), poison, potency, a quality, disease, and liquid. Since 'poison' is a recognized sense, glossing rasa-jala-nidhi as 'ocean of poison' is lexically sound.

Why cited: Cited from the Amara-kośa to license reading rasa as viṣa (poison), grounding the gloss rasa-jala-nidhi = 'ocean of poison'.
क्यों उद्धृत: अमरकोश से यह इसलिए उद्धृत है कि 'रस' का 'विष' अर्थ प्रमाणित हो सके, जिससे 'रस-जल-निधि' का अर्थ 'विष का सागर' सिद्ध होता है।
