dhruvam ujjvala-candra-kānta-yaṣṭyā
dhruvamsurely — I am certain of it adverb voicing the speaker's conviction (Lalitā's guess about how Rādhā was made)निश्चय ही (ललिता अपने अनुमान को दृढ़ता से कहती है)
ujjvala-candra-kānta-yaṣṭyāout of a wand of gleaming moonstone instrumental of the material she was shaped from; yaṣṭi = a slender staff, candra-kānta = moonstoneउज्ज्वल चन्द्रकान्तमणि की छड़ी से (जिस वस्तु से वह गढ़ी गई; यष्टि = पतली छड़ी, चन्द्रकान्त = चन्द्रकान्त मणि)
dhruvam — surely; ujjvala-candra-kānta-yaṣṭyā — out of a wand of gleaming moonstone
dhruvam — निश्चय ही; ujjvala-candra-kānta-yaṣṭyā — उज्ज्वल चन्द्रकान्तमणि की छड़ी से।
Surely — out of a wand of gleaming moonstone —
निश्चय ही उज्ज्वल चन्द्रकान्तमणि की एक पतली छड़ी से (राधा गढ़ी गई)। ललिता दृढ़ता से यह अनुमान लगाती है कि राधा किस वस्तु से बनी है।
candra-kānta is the moonstone, the gem fabled to soften and ooze water when moonbeams strike it — the entire conceit of the verse rests on that lore. This is an udāharaṇa of sveda ("perspiration"), one of the eight sāttvika-bhāvas treated in this prakaraṇa.

she takes on a melting fluidity — and passes it off as a flood of sweat. Just as moonstone melts under the moon, Rādhā literally liquefies at the sight of your face; the 'perspiration' is only the disguise. That melting-as-sweat is the sāttvika sveda this verse illustrates.
तब वह पसीने की अधिकता के बहाने से द्रवता (पिघली हुई अवस्था) को धारण कर लेती है। वस्तुतः वह पिघलना है, जो केवल पसीने-सा दीखता है।

dravatīti dravas tad-rūpatāṁ dravavattām ity arthaḥ |
dravatīti dravaḥ'it flows' — so drava means a flowing derives the noun drava from the verb dravati ('flows, melts')'द्रवति' (बहता, पिघलता है) इस क्रिया से 'द्रव' शब्द बनता है
tad-rūpatāmthe state of taking on that formउसी (द्रव के) रूप को
dravavattāmthe state of coming to possess that fluidityद्रववत्ता को (द्रव जैसी अवस्था को)
ity arthaḥthat is the meaningऐसा अर्थ है
dravati iti dravaḥ — 'it flows,' hence drava, a flowing; [dravatām =] tad-rūpatām — the state of taking on that form; dravavattām — the state of coming to possess that fluidity; ity arthaḥ — that is what it means
dravatīti dravaḥ — 'द्रवति' से 'द्रव' शब्द; tad-rūpatām — उसी रूप को; dravavattām — द्रववत्ता को; ity arthaḥ — ऐसा अर्थ है।
Jīva unpacks the word dravatām. Start from the verb dravati, 'it flows or melts'; from it comes the noun drava, 'a flowing.' So dravatām means the state of taking on that form — of coming to possess fluidity.
'द्रवति' अर्थात् बहता है — इससे 'द्रव' शब्द बनता है। यहाँ 'द्रव' का अर्थ है उसी द्रव-रूप को, अर्थात् द्रव जैसी अवस्था को धारण करना।

khedo’yaṁ na bhavati kintu tadvad drava ity arthaḥ ||
khedo’yaṁ na bhavatithis is not sweat from exhaustion kheda = weariness; the ordinary fatigue-sweat is ruled outयह खेद (थकान से उपजा पसीना) नहीं है
kintubut ratherपरन्तु
tadvad dravaḥa melting like that [moonstone's]उस (चन्द्रकान्त) के समान द्रव है
ity arthaḥthat is the meaningऐसा अर्थ है
ayam — this; khedaḥ na bhavati — is not fatigue-sweat; kintu — but rather; tadvat dravaḥ — a melting like the moonstone's; ity arthaḥ — that is the meaning
khedo’yaṁ na bhavati — यह खेद नहीं है; kintu — परन्तु; tadvad dravaḥ — उसके समान द्रव है; ity arthaḥ — ऐसा अर्थ है।
And this 'sweat,' Jīva adds, is not ordinary perspiration from exertion or distress. It is a melting — like the moonstone's own — the real thing, not a sign of tiredness.
यह खेद (थकान का पसीना) नहीं है, परन्तु उस चन्द्रकान्तमणि के समान पिघलना ही है — ऐसा अर्थ है।
A technical distinction. Ordinary sweat (kheda) is the body's reaction to heat or exertion, a mere surface secretion. The drava here is the whole body softening and running like the melting moonstone — the genuine sāttvika-bhāva, an inner transformation, not a symptom of fatigue.
यह एक सूक्ष्म भेद है। साधारण पसीना (खेद) गरमी या परिश्रम की शरीर-प्रतिक्रिया है, केवल ऊपरी स्राव। किन्तु यहाँ का द्रव तो पिघलती चन्द्रकान्तमणि की भाँति सारे शरीर का कोमल होकर बह जाना है — यही वास्तविक सात्त्विक भाव है, भीतरी परिवर्तन, न कि थकान का लक्षण।

candrakānta-śilayā iti anuktvā — instead of saying 'a slab of moonstone'; yaṣṭyā iti anena — by the word 'wand'; tasyāḥ kṛśāṅgatvam — her slender-limbedness; tena ca — and through that; prathama-kaiśoram — her first budding adolescence; vyañjitam — is suggested
candrakānta-śīlayety anuktvā — 'चन्द्रकान्तशिला' न कहकर; yaṣṭyety anena — 'यष्टि' इस शब्द से; tasyāḥ kṛśāṅgatvam — उसके कृश अंगों का भाव; tena ca — और उसी से; prathama-kaiśoram — प्रथम कैशोर; vyañjitam — व्यंजित किया गया।
A fine point of word-choice. The poet did not say 'a slab of moonstone' (śilā — broad and heavy); he said 'a wand' (yaṣṭi — slim and tapering). That one word suggests Rādhā's slender build; and her slenderness in turn suggests her prathama-kaiśora, her first budding adolescence. Nothing is stated outright — it is all carried by dhvani, the poet's power of suggestion.
'चन्द्रकान्तशिला' (चन्द्रकान्तमणि की भारी चट्टान) ऐसा न कहकर 'यष्टि' (पतली छड़ी) शब्द के द्वारा राधा के कृश अंगों का भाव सूचित किया गया, और उसी से प्रथम कैशोर (किशोरावस्था का पहला उभार) व्यंजित हुआ।
prathama-kaiśora is the first phase of kaiśora, the earliest flush of adolescence — the age at which Rādhā's slenderness would be most marked. The whole point turns on dhvani (poetic suggestion): a single word choice carries a meaning never stated outright.
प्रथम कैशोर कैशोर की पहली अवस्था है, किशोरावस्था का सबसे आरम्भिक उभार — वही आयु जिसमें राधा का कृशपन सबसे अधिक स्पष्ट होता। सारी बात ध्वनि (काव्य-व्यंजना) पर टिकी है: एक ही शब्द का चुनाव ऐसे अर्थ को वहन करता है जो कहीं स्पष्ट कहा ही नहीं गया।
