When a girl full of love imitates her beloved — putting on his kind of dress, copying his actions, and so on, all in a charming way — that playful imitation is what the technical term līlā names here.
The lakṣaṇa (definition) of līlā, the first of the svabhāva-ja ('born of nature') anubhāvas now taken up (lead-in: atha svabhāvajāḥ | tatra līlā—). priya, 'the beloved', is Kṛṣṇa, whom the loving gopī imitates.

The udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) for līlā, the svabhāva-ja anubhāva just defined in L1; the verse is from Rūpa Gosvāmī's own Lalita-mādhava (7.7), per the lead-in. Kāliya is the poison-serpent Kṛṣṇa subdued in the Yamunā.

gṛhītavatī= she seized, adopted [it entirely]धारण कर लिया
līlā-sarvasvaṁ — 'the whole essence of the play' means: tasyāḥ līlāyāḥ yāvān parikaraḥ tāvantam — however much apparatus that pastime has, all that much; ādade gṛhītavatī — she took up, i.e. she adopted.
Jīva unpacks 'līlā-sarvasva.' Kṛṣṇa's Kāliya-taming pastime comes with a whole apparatus — every prop, stance, and gesture that belongs to it. Whatever there is of it, the gopī took on all of it. He reads the mūla's ādade, 'she took,' as gṛhītavatī, 'she assumed it entirely.'

svabhāvajāḥ iti — on the word 'born of nature'; eṣu — among these; kvāpi yatnasya buddhi-pūrvakatvaṁ — sometimes the effort is deliberate; kvāpi sañcāri-bhāva-utthatvena abuddhi-pūrvakam — sometimes, rising from a passing emotion, it is non-deliberate.
Viśvanātha takes up the word 'svabhāva-ja,' born of nature. Among these anubhāvas, he says, the effort behind them is sometimes deliberate — the girl means to do it. Other times it is not deliberate at all: it wells up out of a passing emotion (a sañcāri-bhāva), with no plan behind it.
The distinction is buddhi-pūrvaka ('preceded by intention', deliberate) vs abuddhi-pūrvaka (non-deliberate). Deliberate: a girl decides, for fun, to dress and act like Kṛṣṇa. Non-deliberate: overcome by separation, she bursts into playing him without meaning to (the very case Viśvanātha assigns to this example in s6).

But, Viśvanātha adds, in every one of these cases the girl's loving nature is wide awake underneath. That is exactly why they are all called 'born of nature.' So whether she imitates her beloved on purpose or without meaning to, for girls this full of love the imitation is simply natural — it flows straight from what they are.

Viśvanātha sets the frame for the example verse: it is Parāśara speaking to Maitreya — the verse that begins 'duṣṭa,' 'Wicked Kāliya.'
Parāśara is the narrating sage and Maitreya his listener. Viśvanātha reports this frame for the verse; the decode leaves it as he gives it and does not reconcile it with the lead-in's Lalita-mādhava attribution.

Viśvanātha explains the arm-slap, āsphoṭya. To show off her valor, she smacks the flat of her hand against her upper left arm and makes it crack — the classic challenge-gesture of a wrestler stepping into the ring.
āsphoṭana / bāhu-sphoṭana is the wrestler's arm-slap, sounded as a challenge before a bout — here the gopī-as-Kṛṣṇa taunting Kāliya.

Viśvanātha now files this example under his earlier split. The gopī is crushed by separation from Kṛṣṇa, and out of that madness she bursts into playing him. So her effort here is the non-deliberate kind (abuddhi-pūrvaka) — she is not planning the imitation, it erupts from her grief.
