dhīrā iti asya ca — and of this 'dhīrā'; sva-anabhimata-tvāt — because her lover did what she disapproved; aparitoṣa-prāpteḥ — [to show] her coming to dissatisfaction; udāharaṇāntaram āha — he gives another example; yathā vā iti — namely 'yathā vā'.
और 'धीरा' इस भेद का, स्वयं को अनभिमत होने तथा असंतोष की प्राप्ति के कारण, [ग्रन्थकार] 'यथा वा' कहकर दूसरा उदाहरण कहते हैं।
Viśvanātha: here is one more example of the 'dhīrā' — how she comes to dissatisfaction because her lover has done what she does not approve. That is why Rūpa opens with 'yathā vā' — 'or, take this instance.'
'धीरा' भेद उसे स्वयं रुचिकर नहीं, और उससे असंतोष मिलता है। इसलिए ग्रन्थकार 'यथा वा' कहकर एक और उदाहरण देते हैं।
'dhīrā' here flags the composed pole of the heroine; the verse itself, as s7–s8 will show, turns out to be a dhīrādhīra-pragalbhā (composed-and-agitated bold type).

parāñcan-mukhī iti uktyāby the word 'parāñcan-mukhī''पराञ्चन्मुखी' इस कथन से

kiñcit apāṅga-darśanena prāptenaa slight sidelong glance is thereby implied apāṅga = corner of the eye; prāpta = 'that comes to be implied'जो थोड़े-से कटाक्ष-दर्शन (आँख के कोने से देखने) से प्राप्त होता है, उससे

tathā — moreover; parāñcan-mukhī iti uktyā — by the word 'parāñcan-mukhī'; añcat iti asya śatṛtvena — since 'añcat' is a present participle; kiñcit apāṅga-darśanena prāptena — a slight sidelong glance is implied; prasāda-vyañjakena — one that betrays her favor; sva-māna-nihnutiḥ — she hides her own pride; iti avahitthā ca — and that is avahitthā.
वैसे ही, 'पराञ्चन्मुखी' इस कथन से — 'अञ्चत्' में शतृ-प्रत्यय होने के कारण (मुड़ना अभी चल ही रहा है, अतः वह अधूरी मुड़ी है) — जो थोड़े कटाक्ष-दर्शन से प्राप्त होता है, उस प्रसाद-प्रकाशक [कटाक्ष] से अपने मान का छिपाना, अर्थात् अवहित्था है।
Look closer at the word 'parāñcan-mukhī.' The part 'añcan' is a present participle — 'in the act of turning' — so she is only half-turned, and a little sidelong glance slips out. That glance gives away her favor. By it she is covering up her own māna. And covering a real feeling like that is avahitthā.
'पराञ्चन्मुखी' शब्द में 'अञ्चत्' शतृ-प्रत्यय वाला है, इसलिए मुड़ना अभी चल रहा है — वह पूरी नहीं, अधूरी मुड़ी है। इसी से आँख के कोने की एक झलक मिल जाती है, जो अनुग्रह प्रकट करती है। इस तरह वह अपना मान छिपाती है — यही अवहित्था है।
śatṛ — the present-active-participle suffix; 'añcan' therefore means 'turning' (ongoing), not 'turned', so the grammar keeps her mid-motion and the eye-corner is still visible. avahitthā — a sāttvika/vyabhicāri-bhāva: concealing one's genuine emotion (here her softened favor) under a contrary show.

But she was not openly favorable either — she made no welcoming move. And when Kṛṣṇa falls at her feet and works hard to win her back, still she shows no sign of consent.
