The verse — decoded
L1example
vihāra suradīrghikā mama manaḥ-karīndrasya yā
vihāra-suradīrghikāthe celestial pleasure-river — the heavenly Gaṅgā (sura-dīrghikā) in which [my mind] loves to sport (vihāra) nominative: predicate of yā; sura-dīrghikā = the divine river Mandākinī, an elephant's delight to plunge and play inविहार (क्रीड़ा) की दिव्य मन्दाकिनी नदी है — वह स्वर्ग-नदी जिसमें हाथी डुबकी लगाकर आनन्द से खेलता है; यह 'या' का विधेय (प्रथमा)
mamamyमेरे
manaḥ-karīndrasyaof the lordly elephant that is my mind — whose pleasure-river she is genitive; manaḥ = mind, kari-indra = elephant-king: the mind pictured as a great elephantमन-रूपी गजराज का — जिसका मन एक महान् हाथी के रूप में चित्रित है (षष्ठी); उसी हाथी के लिए वह क्रीड़ा-नदी है
yāshe who — opening the string of things she is, answered by sā rādhikā at the close relative pronoun, fem. nom.; correlative with sā (L4)जो (स्त्रीलिंग) — जो आगे चौथी पंक्ति की 'सा' (राधिका) से जुड़ती है
yā — she who; mama manaḥ-karīndrasya — for the lordly elephant of my mind; vihāra-suradīrghikā — is the celestial pleasure-river.
Seeing Rādhā standing before him, Kṛṣṇa speaks aside. My mind, he says, is a lordly elephant — and she is the heavenly river where it loves to sport. As a great elephant delights to plunge and play in the celestial Gaṅgā, so his elephant-mind revels in her.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of guṇa-kīrtanam, the naming-device defined in the kārikā at 173 (nc.8.62): 'when in the world one thing is designated (saṁśabdyate) by the names of many things that abound in [good] qualities (guṇātirikta), that is to be known as guṇa-kīrtanam' — praise paid by calling a thing by the names of many glorious things. Quoted from the second act (2.10), spoken by Kṛṣṇa aside (apavārya) as he gazes at Rādhā before him. The text's own follow-up at 174 (nc.8.64) names the device outright: 'here the designating of Rādhā by the words sura-dīrghikā and the rest is guṇa-kīrtanam.' So the one Rādhikā is praised by being called by the names of many glorious things — the celestial river (L1), the autumn moon's light (L2), and the string of stars (L3).

śarad-amanda-candra-prabhāshe is the light of the brilliant autumn moon — amanda (un-dim, full) candra of śarat, the clearest season nominative: predicate of yā, continued from L1शरत्कालीन प्रखर (अमन्द) पूर्ण चन्द्रमा की प्रभा (चाँदनी) है — यह भी 'या' का विधेय, पंक्ति १ से आगे चलकर
vilocana-cakorayoḥ — for my two cakora-bird eyes; śarad-amanda-candra-prabhā — she is the light of the bright autumn moon.
For his two eyes, which are cakora birds, she is the glow of the full autumn moon. The cakora is said to live on nothing but moonbeams; so his eyes feed on her as the cakora feeds on the clear moon of autumn.

And for the wide sky of his broad chest, she is the beautiful cluster of stars that adorns it. The image works two ways at once: a lovely string of stars set on the firmament, and a lovely necklace set on his chest — tārāvalī means both.

This lady standing here — that very Rādhikā, who is all these things at once — has been won by me through my soaring longings. The relative pronoun yā that opened the verse now finds its answer in sā: she who is the pleasure-river, the autumn moon, and the string of stars is this one Rādhikā. And that is the device: the single Rādhā praised by heaping upon her the names of many glorious things — guṇa-kīrtanam.
