pāde nipatya badarīm avalambamānā
pāde nipatyahaving sunk down low, fallen to the foot of the ground pāde locative — 'low down, at the foot'; nipatya gerund 'having fallen' — the creeper brought down, an image of humiliationपैर के पास, नीचे झुककर — गिरकर, नीचे आकर
badarīmonto a badarī — a lowly, thorny jujube accusative, object of avalambamānā; not her beloved tree but a makeshift supportबेर की झाड़ी को (कर्म) — एक साधारण, अस्थायी आधार को
avalambamānāclinging to it, holding on for support feminine present participle — of the mādhavī creeper, the subject, disclosed only through mādhavīyam in L2सहारा लेती हुई (स्त्रीलिंग वर्तमान कृदन्त) — वह लता जो टेक लगाए हुए है
pāde nipatya — having sunk low to the ground; badarīm avalambamānā — clinging to a lowly jujube for support.
The verse opens on a creeper — the mādhavī. She has sunk low, fallen to the ground, and is clinging for support to a badarī, a mere thorny jujube. Not her beloved tree at all — just a lowly prop she holds onto for now.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of chādanam, 'covering over, concealment' — the sandhy-aṅga defined in the kārikā just above (kāryārtham apamānādeḥ sahanaṁ chādanaṁ matam): the enduring of insult and the like for the sake of one's goal. Spoken by Nava-vṛndā in the seventh act (source ref 7.3), entering to console a grieving friend ('sakhi, mā viṣādaṁ kṛthāḥ paśya—' — 'Friend, do not despair, look—'). The whole verse is one allegory: the mādhavī creeper stands for the faithful woman (Rādhā), who lets herself be brought low for the sake of reaching her true beloved.

mādhavīyamher own — the mango that belongs to the mādhavī creeper masculine accusative modifying rasālam; it discloses that the subject is the mādhavī, and echoes 'of Mādhava' — a whisper of Kṛṣṇa behind the imageमādhavī लता वाला (पुल्लिंग कर्म, रसाल का विशेषण) — यह बताता है कि कर्त्री mādhavī लता है, और इसमें 'माधव का' ऐसी भी ध्वनि है
mādhavīyam kāntaṁ rasālam — her own beloved mango tree; anuvindati — she reaches in the end.
And yet in the end she reaches her real beloved — the mango tree that is her own, the mādhavī's mango. The lowly jujube was only something to hold onto along the way; her true love is the mango, and she attains it. The word mādhavīya also whispers 'of Mādhava' — Kṛṣṇa, the true beloved behind the flower-image.

prāṇeśa-saṅgama-vidhau viniviṣṭa-cittā
prāṇeśa-saṅgama-vidhauon bringing about union with the lord of her life locative of what her mind is fixed on; prāṇa-īśa 'lord of her breath, her life' + saṅgama 'union' + vidhi 'the accomplishing, the bringing-about'अपने प्राणनाथ के मिलन की सिद्धि में (सप्तमी) — जिस पर उसका मन टिका है; प्राण का ईश अर्थात् प्राणों का स्वामी + सङ्गम अर्थात् मिलन + विधि अर्थात् सम्पादन
viniviṣṭa-cittāher mind wholly set, absorbed on it feminine — of the sādhvī; viniviṣṭa 'entered deep into, fixed', citta 'mind'जिसका मन गहराई से लगा हुआ है (स्त्रीलिंग, उस सती का विशेषण) — विनिविष्ट अर्थात् भीतर तक पैठा हुआ, चित्त अर्थात् मन
prāṇeśa-saṅgama-vidhau — on winning union with the lord of her life; viniviṣṭa-cittā — with her mind wholly fixed.
Now the verse turns from the flower-image to the truth it carries. The faithful woman has her mind fixed wholly on one thing: bringing about union with the lord of her life. Everything else falls away.

For the faithful woman pays no mind to the misery of being under another's power. Brought low, subject to someone else, humiliated — none of it registers with her, because her heart is set on her lord. That is chādanam: she covers over the dishonor and bears it for the sake of her goal. So Nava-vṛndā consoles her friend — like the mādhavī who still wins her mango, Rādhā will endure being subject to the queen and still reach Kṛṣṇa.

Sunk low to the ground and clinging to a lowly thorny jujube for support, the mādhavī creeper reaches in the end her own beloved mango tree; for the faithful woman, her mind wholly fixed on winning union with the lord of her life, pays no mind at all to the misery of being in another's power.
An udāharaṇa (in Nava-vṛndā's voice, Lalita-Mādhava 7.3) illustrating chādanam — enduring insult and subjection for the sake of one's goal: the mādhavī who is brought low yet still wins her mango stands for the sādhvī (Rādhā) who bears being subject to another and still reaches her true beloved (Mādhava/Kṛṣṇa).
